A "divider" like GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will have a hard time winning Ohio, an important battleground that could help decide the election in November, said Buckeye State Gov. John Kasich, a former Republican presidential candidate.
"Ohio's a snapshot of the country. People in Ohio want to see a positive agenda, a positive way to move forward," Kasich said Friday in an interview at the Union League of Philadelphia. He attended a fund-raiser for Brian Fitzpatrick, a Bucks County Republican running for an open congressional seat.
Kasich's remarks came a day after Trump accepted the Republican Party's nomination at its convention in Cleveland. Kasich, who dropped out of the presidential primary campaign in May after Trump effectively clinched the nomination, did not attend the convention.
"Without an endorsement, I thought it would be inappropriate for me to go in there and make some kind of a talk," Kasich said.

And Kasich will do everything he can to make his prediction come true.
There aren’t sufficient words in the American Heritage Dictionary to describe the loathing I have for Kasich and the many others like him who are selling us down the river so they and the insiders can keep their hold on America.
Hugh Hewitt’s boy.
Jackass is perfect.
Probably the hookers.
Conservative Jewish comedian Eric Golub, at the RNC this week, commented on John Kasich’s decision to stay away from the convention. Eric’s words might be paraphrased: “Governor Kasich boycotting the convention is like my withholding sex from Elizabeth Hurley.”
Says the guy who wouldn’t even be gratious enough
to welcome the convention to his state.
He is so out of here next time.
Hey Kasich, I’d just bet you’re going to do whatever you can to make that be true, aren’t you? Like, at the least, turning a blind eye to voter fraud, if not facilitating it under the radar. I hope Team Trump is taking these possibilities seriously, because even if Kasich wouldn’t go that far, those tactics are par for the course for Hellary and the left.
And we need something in place to deal with things like voter intimidation from groups like the Black Panthers, unlike in Obozo’s first election.

Ass wipe SOB! Can’t believe how fixed the system really is. We’ve been taken for a ride.
Trump is the Biggest optimist in the free world! That is the reality. They try to paint him as negative and dark, but can you say projection?
Because Kasich has been so right all along about what Trump’s performance will be.
‘People in Ohio want to see a positive agenda, a positive way to move forward,”’
So according to Kasich, that’s Hillary?
What a jerk.
His political future is over as a Republican, he’ll have to go ahead and join the jack ass party.
We cannot lose Ohio. Perhaps Kasich overestimates his own importance.
It is long past time for Kasich to suck it up, get his act together and start campaigning. He needs to use whatever influence he still has left in Ohio to keep Hillary from winning. If he doesn’t his political career like Cruz’s is over.
Is he trying to poison the well?
Kasick is an icehole!
....Trump probably can’t win Ohio, says state’s governor, John Katich......
Oh yes he can!!!!
Today’s WikiLeaks news about the Dim Party might help. So might a few well-timed classic Trump rallies in Ohio!!!!
Unless, of course, the Hildabeast picks him as her VP...

That sounds like Trump's message. Kasich should get on board while he still can.

Trump will indeed win Ohio. Count on it.
Kasich doesn’t know it yet, but he is a walking political deadman. So is Cruz.So is Romney.
