NOAA claims global temperatures are the hottest ever, based on some rather spectacular junk science. NOAA doesnt actually have any temperature data over most of the land surface.
They never had any data from most of the southern hemisphere.

But he’s got a Nobel Peace Prize. That makes him a Climate Scientist, doesn’t it?
The agency that monitors air quality here in Pittsburgh once put their downtown sensor directly above a bus depot where diesel engines were idling all day.
The local news here (Houston) keeps sensationalizing the heat. It’s going to be in the high 90’s today. DUH! It’s SE Texas! What did you expect? They keep “warning” people to drink water, go to a cooling center (the city set these up), and only take your kids to the playground before such and such time because it will be too hot afterward!
What a crock of crap! It’s hot. Get out in it and get used to it!
Besides, scientists who have studied the temperature of the atmospheres of Mars and Venus and the upper atmospheres of our gas giant planets note a warming over the last 100 years. That either tells us the Sun's radiation output is changing or cosmic rays from outside the Solar System are causing the warming, too.
And averaging.....When it's 80 here, 10 miles west of us....it can be 75.
There are so many factors associated with temperature because temperature is always on the move.
Ponder this...
How do scientist get worldwide temperatures? Not just over land, but over the oceans, which cover most of the earth?
The answer lies with technology that was only been available for 40 years.
We know very, very little about the earth’s temperature record, really.
I’ve noticed this heat alarmism, too. Imagine a newly minted 18 year old adult...his entire life, he has been told that temperatures are unusually warm. When he goes outside in July and sweats his butt off under a blazing sun, he believes this is an unusual harbinger of global catastrophe. IOW, this propaganda campaign gone on long enough to make him a true believer, completely unaware that the sun could burn you in the 1980s just as much as it can today.
Roger that. The thousands of sensors in cities with all that concrete are going to read higher, but it’s an artificial increase that bears no relation to overall global heating. AGW is just a ploy for pretty much total control of our lives.
Interesting that the highest heat spikes are in the middle of Russia (Soviet Union in 1981).
“Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it.”
Old quote but today the socialist gods try to dupe us into thinking we can do something about it.
As a general rule, anything that comes from the gov. is immediately suspect. I don’t believe a damn thing they say!
But if you look at the NOAA’s map, the Northeast was hotter than average.
So who you going to believe, the NOAA or your lying eyes?
But it goes to show, if the NOAA can’t get the Northeast right, can you really trust them getting Siberia or the Middle of Africa correct?
The answer should be "Thermal Infrared sensors from orbiting satellites". Ground thermometers are subject to weather and physical anomalies.
Such claims are wrong. I am sure that many good NOAA employees are mortified by such outrageous and unsupported claims that global temperatures are the hottest ever.
The real NOAA scientists know better, but are being overturned by leftist bureaucrats on top.
Looking forward to getting NOAA back into practicing valid science.
Here in eastern Canada, today it will be 30c (86F) inland but 25c (77F) on the coast. Numbers are for manipulating.
I read somewhere (I wish I could find the links) that during the Soviet times, the fuel rations your city/area got were based on the temperature. Makes sense, but obviously this created a great incentive for the people recording the temperatures to fudge the numbers down so they would get more fuel.
If you look at the NOAA world temperature maps for the past 10-20 years, Siberia is always running very hot. One can only wonder how much of that heat is real vs how much is due to the fudging in the past.
More than half the world has missing data
Yup. When I was 15, I'd hop on my bicycle in 100 degree weather with 100% humidity and ride 15 miles to NASA, so I could set my watch using the atomic clock displays in Mission Control. Yeah, I was a nerd, but I wasn't sitting on my ass at home. People are such wimps these days.
