Thank God Trump, not Cruz is running.
Get lost Cruzer.
I predict they will separate within a year.
Sad.
Again, CRUZ is angling toward 2020, which requires that Trump loses in 2016 (unless one believes that Trump will be beaten as a sitting President).
Hardspunned simply identified what I see as Cruz’s goal - to scuttle Trump’s candidacy in order to set himself up for future glory.
I think you are mistaking a statement of Cruz’s intent for a wish on Hardspunned’s part.
What does Cruz plan to do to keep himself busy the next few years, if he’s on the outs with all sides & has no allies?
How will he raise money in the future, if his word is no good?
IDK.
Why? Let me tell you why (and I speak as a Texan who has voted for Cruz every time he's been on the ballot...including the primary): Because it ain't about our butt-hurt. The nation is at stake. The Republic is at stake. The enemy and issues we face are SO much greater than our personal "hurt feelings."
So Why? Because we are supposed to put our nation above ourselves. Some things are supposed to be bigger than our hurt feelings. Now is not the time to be selfish.
“like the artist formerly known as prince?”
Good one! Exactly.
At least it will stop the talk about Melanie’s speech.
He has a nastiness.” - Lou Dobbs rips into Ted Cruz after his RNC speech

I think Christie, Carson, Trump Jr or Pence has a greater chance for 2024 than Cruz
I was a Rubio supporter who will vote for Trump.
Here’s my take on the Cruz speech.
1. The Cruz non-endorsement will be the headline of the news for the next day. That’s a real loss for Trump and the party. That’s two days out of three that the campaign will have headlines they didn’t want.
2. I would have loved to be in the room when Cruz and Trump met. Two very stubborn men.
3. I expected Cruz to say something like “I pledged to support the Republican nominee and I’m a man of my word.”
4. Whatever Cruz wanted for his endorsement, Trump was not willing to give him. That’s fine if the price was too high, but if no deal could be made, Cruz shouldn’t have been allowed to speak. At the least he should have been moved to 3 pm.
5.I’m sure Cruz realizes this will hurt him. He’ll be fine. He can make $ 1 million a year as an appellate lawyer.
6. I think with Kasich and Cruz pissing into the tent, the convention has not gone as well as it should have. There may not have been anything to do about Kasich. He doesn’t seem to want anything to do with Trump. Cruz is more of a failure of negotiations. They should have been able to make a deal. If not he should not been allowed to speak.
Trump was right! Ted is a nasty guy!
Shows it realy is Trump against the grain of the establishment. Cruz ensured he has realigned himself with the establishment.
Bill Clinton’s “father” (Mr.”read my lips”), Hillary’s “father-in-law”, refused to be present at the RNC, including his POTUS son not showing up either.
So instead, Jeb’s 2016 intended VP running mate was used to infiltrate and create Bush jeopardy.
True. The stench of this will hang in the air for quite some time.
Your theory depends on Trump losing. Hardspunned stated it as a fact. I noted his meaning. But Cruz destroyed his Republican credentials tonight. So what's left? Hardspunned stating Hillary will win. I'm just pointing that out.
Dana Bash just said the head of the VA delegates, the state GOP and a Cruz supporter was, in effect, done with Ted Cruz; that VA GOP would not back him in 2020.
Bush infiltration into the RNC.
Bill Clintons father (Mr.read my lips), Hillarys father-in-law, refused to be present at the RNC, including his POTUS son not showing up either.
So instead, Jebs 2016 intended VP running mate was used to infiltrate and create Bush jeopardy.

It's sad, and even a bit horrifying to watch someone who held so much promise just a short time ago, choose to throw so many bright tomorrows away, by allowing his ego to own him so thoroughly. It's as if his adult judgment center was completely switched off.
There's really no way to make sense of what he's just done.
