“Im sorry to hear that she is sick.”
Me. too. I read that she was diagnosed ten months ago, but hasn’t started treatment yet. Hope this is not true. You can’t drag your feet when it comes to battling cancer.
She was here at one of the comic/pop culture conventions here earlier this year... her and Holly Marie Combs were both here, they did a panel together... sat through part of it while I was letting my feet recover from being on them all day.
She didn’t mention anything about having cancer that I heard, looked pretty healthy... but if she was diagnosed 10 months ago she would have known.
Sorry to hear she is ill, hope it all goes well for her.
So sorry.
Not too many things worse than having cancer or other potentially fatal disease. I wish her well.
The only reason I can think to delay treatment is because you're carrying a baby. Otherwise, it makes no sense.
Prayers for her and her family. I hope she makes it!
Despite her diva reputation I wish Shannon the best in her battle against this disease.
Any woman diagnosed with breast cancer should, IMO, have both removed. My mother did not, and the second time around killed her.
When it came to be my wife's turn I told her the same thing.."I didn't marry you for your tits get rid of both.". She did, came through with flying colors, and didn't even need to do chemo. That was ten years ago, and she is still "free and clear". She had lost her own mother to B.C., so had been religious about mammograms, hence caught it very early.
When my sister-in-law had it, I tried to convince her to have the double, but her doctor convinced her to do the single. So far, so good. I hope it stays that way.
Most are being treated with hormones or gene therapy. I’m kind of shocked she must be doing kemo.
I will speculate her DNA wasn’t compatible, because other reasons are not the kind we’d like to hear.
A Loser who was so much trouble that she couldn’t get acting work. The last thing I saw her in was a terrible “reality” show where they played extremely cruel practical jokes on people.
Regular people have chemotherapy every day. This one just doesn’t rate any special wishes any more than anyone else does.
Nowadays I think they do too many lumpectomies rather than mastectomies. It is awfully hard to get good margins with lumpectomies.
My wife had a single mastectomy in 1996. She did okay until she developed cancer in the other in 2009 and had another mastectomy. Now she is battling non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Still, she has done well for 20 years.
One of the few Hollywood republicans. For what that is worth.
Yikes.
Mrs. Fella and both our daughters have had to battle breast cancer. I pray that Shannen’s has been caught early enough for her treatment to be effective. The first 2 years after therapy are the roughest. Each scan and exam is a gut wrencher.
You had an issue with Cowboy?
That’s funny...mine was with Bob... :)
Friend.
People do have them.
Regular people have chemotherapy every day. This one just doesnt rate any special wishes any more than anyone else does.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
And “regular” people receive prayers and good wishes on FR whenever their situatios are posted. I would not deny somebody “special wishes” because I didn’t like their acting ability. I would hope most people would take a minute to at least hope for the best upon hearing of somebody’s serious illness.
The first time I got out of the shower and it was full of hair I went and got the clippers, handed them to hubby, and said buzz me. I just thought the buzz was better than hair everywhere. After the buzz it wasn’t long til I lost every hair on my body. The only thing that bothered me was no eyebrows. I hated that. Lol
Mmm you should study breast cancer before making a statement like that. There are different types of breast cancer and breast removal should be decided by your oncologist. It is not always necessary. Depends on the type of cancer, the stage of the cancer, etc.
Yes, I had breast cancer and no I didn’t have a mastectomy let alone a double mastectomy. I was told it wasn’t needed and so far they were right.
God bless you, Sheana.
My wife, literally the-girl-next-door, lost her battle with breast cancer at 28.
My heart goes out to anyone battling this - such courage.
Again, God bless....
