That was Ann C. who was at the D.C. March and Ann also went to a N.Y. Christmas luncheon or dinner.
Thinking about this. What initially looked to me like a career suicide by Cruz was actually a career Hail Mary. He wants Trump to lose and he is putting all his chips in on that occurring, figuring after 4 years of Hillary people will clamor for him as the only hope left. Or banking on Trump winning but not governing well. It’s a strange strategy given he alienated 14 million primary voters and the party he belongs to.
The alternate explanation is he is simply a globalist shill trying to pry enough people from Trump so Hillary can win.
I didn’t actually waste much attention on Cruz before now. He just never struck me as presidential material.
Yes, I was screaming at the T.V., when Teddy the Traitor was on and when he once again insulted N.Y., I went bat sh*t crazed.
I have been paying attention to politics since I was a child ( 1952, to be exact ) and I have NEVER seen ANYTHING like this, in my entire life!
Randy Mandy Carpenter on CNN predictably defends Cruz, and goes a step further. She says she doesn’t know anybody who trusts Trump. Rock solid #NeverTrump, and that aligns directly with Cruz. She says the GOP is dead if Trump wins. You know they are going to work to elect Hillary, that is their route to wining in 2020 or later. The party is split? You better believe it is.
There is a third option: that he really believes he is acting “on principle” and he will be seen as the “principled” conservative.
Alienating people like Sheldon Adelson probably isn’t great.
Only the hardcore Cruz cult still thinks him as principled. He will never get back the millions he alienated.
Reports are his own state delegation jeered him back at the hotel. His own state.
Pence gets up there and gives a great speech and all anyone can talk about is Ted Cruz?!? I guess Cruz got what he wanted - even negative attention is better than no attention.
There are still a lot on Twitter
Well, no: Luntz’s focus group was off the charts for Pence. If you believe Luntz.
Reports are his own state delegation jeered him back at the hotel. His own state.
That said, good news and I will sleep well tonight :)
“...Nah. Cruz come off like Sore Loserman...”
Sore Cruzerman?
You’re probably right about that. I think that leaked news was a cause of a lot of anger against him (although, as you probably know, a lot of people already thought he was a hypocrite only looking out for himself before the speech).
I heard that rumor too, but I have to say I really thought he would at least say something like, “...And that is why we must defeat Hillary Clinton in the fall.” I would have accepted even that with no mention of Trump as a kind-of, sort-of fulfillment of his pledge and his word. I blew a gasket when he almost did the opposite, after Trump gave him the honor and privilege of allowing him on this big stage. And we should all remember, Cruz is someone who praised Trump to the hilt several times last year. So no one can possibly delude themselves that what he did was “principled.”
Boo-TED
Did you see how he reacted to Trump fly-by? He is clinical...

Yeah!
Pence is rocking the house!
I have neither FaceBook, nor am I on TWITTER; but then, I still write snail mail with a fountain pen. ;^)
Give 'em HELL and if you need any suggestions, ask me. :-)
And don't forget to rub it in, that Teddy broke his OATH!
