Oh gosh, Albion Wilde, I share your dismay. It is so hurtful when libs commit such hateful acts. You are right to quietly but resolutely speak Truth.
Most of my liberal teacher colleagues were very nasty at heart and weren’t really “friends”. They did horrible things to anyone who did not line up behind them and their liberal views. This included deliberately sabotaging Reading Achievement parties for children, and many other despicable acts. I learned they are Commmies/Fascists First and foremost, with evil hearts.
That single act that your former bridesmaid did, destroying the original signed artwork, showed her TRUE heart that she had all along. It makes one wonder, was she really a true friend after all?
I would remember the good times you had with her, as your bridesmaid, and then shake the dirt off your feet, in symbolic shaking HER off.

if we have to keep putting adjectives in front of the word “conservative” (solid, full-throated) then we have lost the meaning of the word. As for me, I am not a hyphenated conservative.
Many of us (the voters) are repulsed by BOTH parties. And the little ones never win anything so they don’t count.
I was a staunch Teddy Cruz supporter at first and hoped for a Trump/Cruz ticket. I was wrong. Now I am wondering if those 3 ever were conservatives. Maybe it was all an act to win elections.
