Hillary Clinton might have been more prepared for Donald Trump's vice presidential rollout than Donald Trump. In the crucial moments after Trump announced he had chosen Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate with a tweet on Friday, Clinton's campaign sprang into action, while Trump's team missed several opportunities to capitalize on its own news and be the first to frame the narrative around the new partnership.
Within 15 minutes of Trump's initial tweet, Clinton responded with a video outlining a point-by-point case against Pence.

I'm starting to like Pence a lot more, I was under the impression that he was soft on immigration.
Pence just wants to follow the law on immigration, something the hildabeast knows nothing about.
Hillary is dumber than Jeb.
Hillary is a uniparty globalist, and a kleptocrat.
Well the weren’t making a dent in attacking Trump so this was a given just like McCain and Palin
Most of her criticism of Pence looks like most of my praise for him. Whatever. Trump will get a new opportunity to roll out the VP pick as he wishes because of this unusually full news week, first France, now Turkey. The average person was not paying close attention to her screeds. That is what starts next week at the conventions.
Hillary is CORRUPT and CROOKED AS HELL!!!
I haven’t talked to a person who really gives a #### either way who he picked, dem or rep.
Too much at stake in this election for people to look eight years out.
Hillary didn’t like Trump’s VP pick? Stop the freakin’ presses!
And for 95% of the public, any spin by either side gets drowned out by the news in France and Turkey.
There’s nothing more than a “he’s extreme” cry to raise money and gin up the base. All the unions’ and Marxists horses and men tried that, and it doesn’t work against these mild-mannered midwestern governor types. And if she tries, Trump himself gets a week of coverage blasting her over it (unusual juxtaposition, but it beats the heck out of the weak defenses given for Quayle and Palin).
I think that Jeb would make a perfect running mate for her.
hillary’s not running smart. Pence is so much nicer than hillary that it just emphasizes that she is a shrill *itch who has nothing good to say about anything or anyone, except herself.
[ Part of her attack ad says “Pence opposes comprehensive immigration reform [amnesty] and birthright citizenship for many children born to immigrant parents.”]
So, she basically cut a brilliant pro-Trump ad on her dime?
Trump might actually not have to spend a nickel on ads if she keeps it up!
I've never been swayed to vote for or against a candidate based on the VP pick, and I doubt anyone else is either. Nevertheless, I'm still happy that Trump didn't pick an outright dud like the liberal Christie or empty suit Rubio.
What picking Pence, a conservative who still "gets along" with the GOP establishment accomplishes is stopping the RNC political machine from undermining Trump and covertly backing Hillary (hopefully).
This shows us that Hillary is completely stymied by Trump, with her only avenue being try and take out a supposed “weaker” opponent, being Trumps VP pick.
Wonk work, Hill.....have another drink.
And , Chris Moody, who wrote this garbage for CNN is even dumber still - how stupid do you have to be to have your head that far up Hillary’s butt?
Though it is difficult to out-stupid Jar Jar Bush, he just might have done it.
That was why I posted the story. The people who support Trump often do so largely because of his views on immigration. How exactly is pointing out that Pence mostly agrees with Trump on immigration supposed to dissuade any of Trump’s supporters?
[ I think that Jeb would make a perfect running mate for her. ]
“Please clap...”
What do people expect.
“My opponent’s VP Pick is a great pick”, said no politician, ever.
