Checks all the boxes, which makes him a safe choice. But isn’t he the guy who sold out the people of IN on RFRA after getting letters from a couple homos?
Honestly, I don’t know much about Christie and guns. If you could elaborate, that would be great. Here’s the thing with Christie. He endorsed Trump very early on, one of the first, and he has stood by his pledge. He knew Trump’s policies and got behind him to the detriment of his approval rating. He has not come out one time during all the controversies and said one negative word about Trump. Not one. That loyalty was a good thing.
I have heard this also. Pence was not happy with Trump winning the nomination early on from what I understand. Many republican politicians felt that way...still do .but obviously Pence has made peace with it. I do know he endorsed Cruz. But the people have chosen Trump and he is respecting and accepting that.
That is a positive. My concern is just what I see as key policy differences.

He also endorsed cruz after telling us how wonderful Trump is. He also doesn't agree with banning all muslims from entering our country.
Christie, though, never criticized Trump’s policy publicly on Muslims. I don’t know how that has affected his relationship with those organizations.
IMO, Trump needed to go with what Trump wanted. Screw the advisors. I know he loves his children and holds their opinions to the highest standards, but he should have told them he was making the decision.

Anything negative about Trump you automatically believe? What’s your scenario? Manafort or one of the kids picks up the phone, conference calls Bash, FOX and CNN, and says, “Trump is wavering,”?
Would you just love to think Trump’s innermost circle contains a leaker? The alternative is that it’s a smear. Or do you believe the MSN is far too principled to smear a Republican?

Pence didn’t drop out until today, after the tweet. He’s not stupid.
Impossible, at least for some, to process that Pence was operating on a timeline designed to conceal Trump’s pick until Trump himself announced it.

Pence is a choice that will never overshadow Trump. I personally would’ve gone with someone who had military or law enforcement background. Also Pence though he did a good job fiscally for Indiana showed how quickly he was to buckle under pressure when the LGBT went after him. I hope Trump doesn’t come to regret this choice. Let’s see how the the announcement and the convention goes.
