How about Newt as Secretary of State?
Newt was a) too erratic (I think he listens to Callista a lot), b) too ambitious (no matter what he says now, I think that a group of rebels could try to help the Dems to impeach a Pres. Trump and Newt would be happy to step in).
I don’t think Pence will do either, but there is some question about the validity of this “Muslim” tweet earlier last night.
You may indeed be right. However, I think if he held it, SOMEONE would complain.
Of course, no matter waht he does....SOMEONE would complain.
TRUMPENCE!
For Hillary’s comeuppance.
Like!!!!
Pence and Trump are a nice fit......Mike lends a lot more gravitas to the ticket.
And his solid conservativism credential Donald to the wondering conservative electorate.
I’m in, too. We all should be. There’s a country at stake here.
In hindsight, what you perceived as “mamsy pamsy” at the carnival interview was probably Pence simply deflecting and downplaying the VP speculation frenzy, honoring Trump’s timetable for announcement and respecting his own promise of confidentiality til the appointed time. Good start.
She has sounded terrible in the clips being played of her audios from last night. Awful! Simply horrific!
Absolutely! I donated to Nehlen and hope he boots Ryan.
Romney as ambassador to Madagascar.
I have no idea how dependable this poll is, but I like it;)
MSN - Who do you support in the 2016 Presidential race?
Of 205,758 respondents:
25% Hilary Clinton
59% Donald Trump
8% someone else
8% haven’t decided
I’m not disappointed at all. I actually chose Pence to be Trump’s VP pick in the Drudge poll the other day and was surprised when I found that Pence only had 12% support after I voted.
In any event, Pence eliminates a lot of the fears that some people had in voting for Trump because of his lack of legislative experience, working with congress, etc.
Because Christie has a horrible record on second amendment issues, I would have been terribly disappointed had he been chosen, and I hold those same feelings in regard to his possible selection as AG.
I like Newt as some kind of senior adviser/pitbull but Newt has a lot of unnecessary baggage and putting him in a position that people can vote on is not a good idea in my mind.
I also think Sheriff Clarke would be an excellent choice for director of homeland security, although I’d prefer to see that outfit disbanded altogether.
It seems to me that the only ones worried about Trump’s “dignity” are the Democrats, GOPe and other assorted leftist.
Funny how after damn near 8 years of the biggest embarrassment in the history of the United States, we actually have people worried about Donald Trump’s dignity.
I have no problems with Pence. Legislative and executive experience both. I would have been fine with any of a couple dozen possibilities. All of them had some kind of weakness(es). All had some kind of strength(s).
I wanted the candidate in that group most likely to help gain victory. Win is most important.
Trump/Pence 2016!
I did not know that. Thanks for posting.
Well I liked Newt more, Christy too. I’m not all that familiar with Pence.
To our first colony on Pluto. King Mitt...or Emperor Mitt.
[Reagan had Bush as his veep]
Yes, b/c he was forced to take an establishment stooge.
When Bush took office, he single handedly destroyed everything Reagan accomplished, and paved the way for the disaster that our country is in today.
Pence’s tweet was NOT from last night. Someone posted it as though it was recent.
I’m sure Pence, as well as others, are rethinking things on the ban, considering recent events in France, and here.
