I’m not sure what Rand brings to the ticket. Trump is already getting many of the libertarians, on his own. (I know a few Ron Paul hippies that are now for Trump :)
Fill me in on what I may be missing with Rand.
I just keep picturing Trump telling Rand that he should ‘quietly go home’ and how he is owned by donors.

I’m not a Rand/Ron Paul fan....however, Trump has made some positive comments about Rand.
It would typical Trump to have media focus “here” while his VP pick is “over there”.
I do REALLY REALLY like Rand’s project to audit the Fed.
I still think it will be Pence - for his connection to evangelicals and the Ohio proximity that can also help in Iowa and possibly WI and MI.
Pence simply brings more to the table than Newt without Newt’s penchant for journeying into foot-in-the-mouth leftism (Nancy Pelosi’s couch photo, et al)

Mike Huckabee and Tom Cotton also on the speaking list so far; they’ve been mentioned as people wanting them for VP so thought I better throw them on the pile too.

Not sure if this will be at Trump Tower. There were some legal concerns over Trump using the tower for political events. Yes, I know it's his building but NYC and all their rules...that's probably why his last NYC event was held down in SoHo.

That is true, it is strange for him to make multiple finalist comments. Maybe misdirection as some have suggested? Well, we will know tomorrow morning. Trump does have faults, but his strategery so far has been impressive... His VP selection will hopefully follow suit.
I’m with you. no Newt or Pence. The media will constantly beat the “white men” drum until election day. I like West, as well.
