Donald Trump will showcase his vice presidential pick at a public event on Friday, multiple sources tell NBC News.
Trump's possible picks are thought to be narrowed to three candidates: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
While the joint appearance is expected on Friday, it's not clear whether or not the identity of the pick could be released or could leak earlier in the week.
Trump is scheduled to attend a fundraiser and rally in Indiana Tuesday night with Pence; he campaigned with Christie on Monday and with Newt Gingrich last week.
He told the New York Times earlier Tuesday that he intended to make a decision "over the next three- to four-day period of time," adding that his "gut" would be an important factor in making the decision.

Newt in a VP debate? Yes, please!
Forget announcing just a VP pick. Trump should announce an entire Republican Cabinet Dream Team!
My wild guess is that Trump will pick Pence for VP, Newt for Secretary of State, and Christie as his Attorney General.
After watching the Trump interview last night, the VP will be Newt.
We need a VP who can shoot back-Ted Nugent.
Newt! He can show his stuff during the debate with whatever loser Hillary puts up. Trump can continue his rallies everyday, charming the crowds, while Newt spends his time shooting down everything Hillary says. It’ll be fun to watch.
I could live with all three. In this order I would say the most loyal to TRump would be Christie, then Newt, then Pence.
I say this because, the VP mops up sometimes for the gafs made by the president or the guy running during the campaign.
Pence gave a great speech for Trump last night. Newt is the thinker, the idea guy. He’s never run a business or run a state like a governor.
I want Newt close to Trump as advisor, as something important.
The Friday date coincides with the black Day of Rage planned for 37 cities.
So if he picks Pence, does that make us all “TrumPents?”
;-)
I still think he could pick Ivanka. Are there any rules against that? Any precedence?
<< What a horrible horrible horrible list. Trumps about to shoot off his foot
>>
Look on the bright side: If Trump picks someone you don’t like, the Friday BLM/Soros/MusBro riots will give the MSM an excuse to ignore it (not realizing they’ll be doing Trump a favor, in your opinion, by giving him cover for a VP Blooper.) :-)
And not coincidentally. These were planned a long time ago. It is no accident they are timed just before the GOP convention. And look for major riots in Cleveland. They will overshadow convention coverage.
Ivanka is not qualified. Her mother did not become a citizen till years after she was born
VP must be qualified. Her husband Jared would qualify. Has a person who descents from the Holicost victim ever held that high of office ?
By contrast, the Democrat convention in Philadelphia will be a love fest, with nary a sound of protest outside.
BLM and the others know how to behave for their own. They won’t do anything to hurt their nominee.
Most likely Pence. A milk toast choice that appeases the establishment.
There will be Bernie demonstrators in Philly and probably some BLMs, They will not be as violent as those in Cleveland whose target will be specifically Trump whom they will brand as a racist and bigot. That is the strategy going forward. Trump builds walls and Hillary builds bridges.

Not me, if he goes moderate-liberal Republican as you state, I will STILL be thanking God for sparing us from Hillary Clinton.
He is, I suspect, more Conservative than many “purists” believe. But that doesn’t matter to me at this point, when the survival of the nation is at stake. So, even if he governs moderate-Republican, at the very least, he loves his country and will try to save it, unlike Globalist Clinton.
I will be deeply thankful that enough people voted for the American-loving patriot who will work hard to restore America as opposed to Hillary, who would have established Hard Tyranny the likes of which we can only imagine.
I will be grateful to God, no matter how moderate-Republican he may appear, for sparing us from Globalist Clinton, and giving us Patriot Trump.
Focusing on giving as much support as we individually can, to helping him save our nation from profound evil is the primary concern of many, which is as it should be.
