Donald Trump will showcase his vice presidential pick at a public event on Friday, multiple sources tell NBC News.
Trump's possible picks are thought to be narrowed to three candidates: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
While the joint appearance is expected on Friday, it's not clear whether or not the identity of the pick could be released or could leak earlier in the week.
Trump is scheduled to attend a fundraiser and rally in Indiana Tuesday night with Pence; he campaigned with Christie on Monday and with Newt Gingrich last week.
He told the New York Times earlier Tuesday that he intended to make a decision "over the next three- to four-day period of time," adding that his "gut" would be an important factor in making the decision.

Look at the programs he took a stand against. You are very judgmental without even looking at the facts. Check out where he stood on education, immigration, budget , earmarks and how he stood up to not just the democrats by his own party
When Boehners “go along to get along” got in power he came home. His stand is just what Trump has been saying.
If you are judging him on the LGBT controversy a friend in the know said the bill was Very poorly written and would not have made it past federal court ( he thinks it was done on purpose) Pence took the heat rather than risk it becoming a “case law”case
I wanna see Sarah-cuda walk on stage and then introduce Newt or Pence, that would make the MSM piss their shorts...
All I ask is that Mr. Trump has earnestly sought the Lord’s guidance on his VP pick. His Way is the only way . . .the best way.
Of these three, I would go for Newt... he is the most outspoken against the left and certainly knows how to work Congress.
The best part is he’s not picking the next generation of bimbos.
