Ruth Bader Ginsburg: ‘I can’t imagine what the country would be’ under President Trump

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently offered a surprisingly blunt assessment of Donald Trump.

In an interview with the New York Times published Sunday, Ginsburg implied that the presumptive GOP nominee would do lasting harm to the Supreme Court if elected.

“I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president,” she said. “For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don’t even want to contemplate that.”

The left-leaning jurist also joked that if Trump were elected, it would be time for her “to move to New Zealand.”

I’ve read that it is not uncommon for her to fall asleep during hearings.

If the RNC had any balls, they would pounce on this and ask for her to be impeached.

But they don’t.

And hopefully Paul Rino will lose his primary and start the ball rolling for massive elite exodus

YES!! I agree. It would so horrible that all the liberals on the SC should resign and move out of the country.

It would be a lot less like Iran which is the direction it is currently heading.

She just not long for this world, pancreatic cancer, a real nasty customer. She is dying. I’ll cut her some slack for that. But she should have resigned form the bench with such a grim diagnosis. Despite the wishcasting by liberal media, that cancer has over a 90% mortality rate, and someone at her age..it’s a death sentence. Trump will be picking a new SC Justice.

They are trying to keep her old husk alive until/if Hillary gets elected. They know they won’t get a twofer with Obama on SC picks. Hell - he’s not even gonna get the one for Scalia, nor should the Muslim ever.

“I am amazed this husk is still alive.”

Shuush! We don’t want her to go just yet! She needs to “hag on” Until inauguration day. Then, I’m good with her “going,” and I don’t mean to New Zealand!

Obama is NOT going to get to pick and confirm a replacement for Scalia, NOR would he get one for RBG. That shit just ain’t gonna happen.

She’s clearly losing her faculties. Throughout her career, she has “imagined” all sorts of constitutional protections that don’t exist, and “imagined” all manner of reasons that clear constitutional provisions and precedents don’t apply in cases brought before the USSC.

To admit now that she can’t imagine the USA under a Trump presidency tells me she’s lost the battle with father time.

I got out of high school in 1965. America was great then. Does she think now is better?

” I also wish she would move to New Zealand!”

Nah, not permanent enough! She needsth take a dirt nap early next year. The other Yenta and the “Wise Latrina,” will then have to endure decades as members of the SCOTUS “minority.”

Obviously. For her, if what made American great can be diminished, it makes her happy. Remember she was former ACLU.

There are several cases in the past 7 years where one or more justices should have recused themselves because of demonstrable bias. One of which was when one of those evil little trolls had officiated gay weddings but wouldn’t recuse themselves from hearing the gay marriage case.

She’s clearly losing her faculties. Throughout her career, she has “imagined” all sorts of constitutional protections that don’t exist, and “imagined” all manner of reasons that clear constitutional provisions and precedents don’t apply in cases brought before the USSC.

The creation of a whole new array of "rights" not found in the Constitution was deliberate, and diabolical. The rights found in body of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were not created by those documents, they came from God as our Creator. The Founders knew this.

But starting in the 1960s, the Court decided to create a whole new set of rights under the doctrine of Substantive Due Process. The creation of these rights was inherently subjective by the Courts. The creation of these rights accomplished two things. One was that it made the government the grantor of rights. The other is that the labyrinth of rights were inherently in conflict with each other, and the government through the Judicial Branch became the arbiter of those rights.

Thus, the Government assumed the role of the maker of rights, and at the same time assumed the authority to take them away. Such rights are no longer rights, but licenses, like a fishing license.

It is consistent with everything about the socialist system; everything is owned by and provided by the government, but not in unlimited quantity. Instead of allocating the limited resources economically, the allocation is now rationed on a political basis. Your energy, food, housing, education and employment are all rationed. And so is your liberty. You get as much as the government thinks you need, or simply wants to let you have.
