El Paso area leaders gathered Friday evening at a news conference to express their solidarity with Dallas after five law enforcement officers were killed and six others were injured in a sniper attack.
El Paso County Sheriff Richard Wiles offered condolences, while state, county, and city officials discussed the attacks impact on the country, Texas, and El Paso. But it was a comment made by El Pasos African-American Police Chief Greg Allen after the news conference that drew the most attention.
Though Allen was laconic and vague in most of his answers to the press, he opened up when it came to a question about the Black Lives Matter movement.
Black Lives Matter, as far as I am concerned, is a radical hate group, he said. And for that purpose alone, I think the leadership of this country needs to look a little bit harder at that particular group. The consequences of what we saw in Dallas is due to their efforts.
According to the El Paso Times, Allen is the first black police chief in the citys history. Hes been in charge of the department—one of the countrys largest—since 2007. And during his tenure, the city has been consistently ranked as one of the safest large cities in America.
"On September 16, 2015, Valerie Jarrett and some other administration officials met at the White House with Black Lives Matter activists Brittney Packnett, DeRay McKesson, Johnetta Elzie, Phillip Agnew, and Jamye Wooten. In a subsequent tweet directed to Miss Packnett, Jarrett wrote: Great meeting, Brittany. Truly appreciate your leadership!!
God bless this man, he has integrity but he most likely just got himself hacked and doxed by the the ally of BLM, Anonymous.
Most certainly the death threats against him and his family have already started.
Glad to read about Sheriff Allen.
Let me look up on this article at the top. I’m sure the New York Times ran this article. No? This is surprising. /src with extreme prejudice.
Amen.
He is correct.
It is not that minority deaths cause more outrage. It is that media does not report on white deaths.
Nor do they report on the white deaths at the hands of blacks. For example Jessica Chambers gruesome murder at the hands of a black gang member.
Wonder how many black gang members whites would have killed if they knew about it? If the media focused on the utter cruelty and inhumanity of the murder of Jessica. Perhaps, there would be more blacks dying in the street today and/or more enlightened blacks when it comes to crime and the rule of law.
We know who and what party is responsible for this unrest. Without the rule of law, there will be no justice. From the top down, eh Hillary?
It IS a radical hate group.
And it has powerful allies in Loretta Lynch, Obama and the DNC.
So true.
Trump needs to have this sheriff and Sherriff David Clarke in his Cabinet.....however he is NOT going to winbecause of VOTER FRAUD and LIBERAL REPUBLICANS!
The non human who killed Jessica has also been charged w/ the murder of the Asian grad student I believe.
This is a big nation. There are bad shoots, for a variety of reasons. That said, why does BLM use such awful examples instead of some of the others?
It seems likely that their intended goal is irreconcilable diviciveness - not merely a side-effect. They get their side emotionally invested in an obviously surreal or false description of an event that the other side is going to see as ridiculous and dismiss. There can’t really be a compromise.
Sadly, many of the *proclaimed* issues are ones in which there is a lot of common cause: over-militarization of police forces, predatory local government, racism, and perverse incentives of meddling laws.
Good on him!
He sure does, and you are probably right.
This is NOT a good time to be screwing with the police.....
Just another terrorist organization Obama supports wholeheartedly.
It is by any definition a terrorist organization. All terrorist organizations need to be disarmed using door to door force including the crip and blood idiots.
What a great man!!
The Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice is a radical hate group as well.
