The head of a law enforcement advocacy group lashed out at President Barack Obama in the wake of the Dallas shootings that left five police officers dead, accused the president of carrying out a "war on cops."
“I think [the Obama administration] continued appeasements at the federal level with the Department of Justice, their appeasement of violent criminals, their refusal to condemn movements like Black Lives Matter, actively calling for the death of police officers, that type of thing, all the while blaming police for the problems in this country has led directly to the climate that has made Dallas possible,” William Johnson, the executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, said in an interview with Fox on Friday morning.
Johnson said although the Thursday night shooting of law enforcement officers reminded him of “the violence in the streets in the 60’s and 70’s,” he pointed out how Obama’s response appeared different than his predecessors. “I think one of the big differences then was you had governors and mayors and the president — whether it was President Johnson or President Nixon, Republican or Democrat — condemning violence against the police and urging support for the police,” Johnson said. “Today that's markedly absent. I think that's a huge difference, and that's directly led to the climate that allows these attacks to happen.”

I fail to see how any cop, union or not, could stand the stench of voting Obama or Hillary.

I was a young pup in the 40s and a teenager in the 50s but I agree with you 100%.
It was the 60s if any era when the poo poo really started hitting the fan. I served 4 years military mid 60s and watched it unfold. Liberals and their sympathizes or should I say fellow travelers, caused it all.

Look, I still don't know who the Dallas shooter is nor his motive, but this I do know, no members of any Militia are coming out to help the police. Why? Simple, they have abandoned the Constitution, they have abandoned community protection and, as yu said, have abandoned what is right and turned to the Horse Dung of “We don’t make the laws, we just enforce them.”
Oh one other thing, you get paid very well for driving around in a new car, drinking free coffee, ogling young boys and girls, beating up first graders, killing dogs and attacking anyone who looks at you as less than a god.

-I pay taxes. Just like you. I work. Just like you. You got me on the gas, but I have to get from A to B. If it makes you feel better, I have to take my personal car to Atlanta with some regularity and I don’t get reimbursed.
-I have never shot a dog. I keep dog treats in the car. Most dogs that see me coming get super excited. I wouldn’t shoot your dog either.

-You and I will have to disagree on that. I and my co-workers have not brought “being ambushed and killed in the street for trying to do our job(s)” on ourselves. You would have to have a pretty twisted mind to make the connection that an officer in, say, California who crosses the line means that I deserve to get murdered at work.

-Mine have all been positive. However, my wife had a horrible episode about 12 years ago with an officer in Dekalb Co., GA. I blame the officer - not every officer who followed thereafter.

-I make $32k. That is less than I made in an office job in 2001. Like I wrote before, I do what I do because I like it and that I can help make my community a better place.
-My car has 90k miles on it and is held together with hope and force of will.
-I don’t drink coffee outside of some days in the winter.
-Do cops in your town sit around and ogle young boys and girls? I would call that in, man.
-To date, my abuse of first graders remains a steady, zero instances.
-No dogs killed by me.
-Not one person, aside from a 3 year old, has ever even come close to looking at me like a God. In fact, most people won’t look at me at all. They look away, or snear, or say weird stuff like you’ve written yourself.

-I quit an office job and took a pay cut (make less than I did 16 years ago) to make my community better because we have a serious crime and gang problem here that I decided I didn’t want to watch on the sidelines. I won’t apologize for it. You should get to know more officers.
