Good morning EG ((HUGS))
All is well. Trying to stay cool during this hot spell. And trying to remember to drink more water too.
Howz it out your way?
Cool Water
By Sons of the Pioneers
All day I’ve faced the barren waste
Without the taste of water, cool water
Old Dan and I with throats burned dry
And souls that cry for water, cool, clear water
[Chorus]
Keep a-movin’, Dan, don’t you listen to him, Dan
He’s a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sand with water
Dan can you see that big green tree
Where the water’s runnin’ free
And it’s waiting there for you and me
The nights are cool and I’m a fool
Each star’s a pool of water, cool water
But with the dawn I’ll wake and yawn
And carry on to water, cool, clear, water
The shadows sway and seem to say
Tonight we pray for water, cool, water
And way up there He’ll hear our prayer
And show us where there’s water, cool, clear, water
Dan’s feet are sore he’s yearning for
Just one thing more than water, cool, water
Like me I guess he’d like to rest
Where there’s no quest for water, cool, clear, water

Well, we’ve been tyring to stay cool too. Instead of walking in this hot weather, we’ve been taking rides in our pickup with the AC running.
Hot and humid, huh? Always a fun combination.
We've been staying in the 80's recently, even had a needed shower last night.
Not much happening this weekend, gonna try to get to a local summer baseball league game.
Our country is in such a pitiful mess right now, never seen it so divided.
Have a great weekend!
Whoo ...

The way it starts off, sounds of working waterfront ( turn the volume up ) done by a guitar, and how the lead guitar just blast out such sweet melodies. Such and underrated song.

I had Crime of the Century and Even in the Quietest Moments on LP, and an earlier one I can’t remember...Have Crime of the Century now on CD, still listen to it a lot. Never had any of the others.
Also had a cassette of Roger Hodgson album with HAd A Dream (Sleeping With the Enemy), excellent stuff, Had A Dream is a fantastic song too. He played a lot of instruments, one thing that always impresses me.
I played everything in the band room in high school, so I appreciate people like Ian Anderson, Michael Olfield and Paul McCartney who can play almost anything.
Which reminds me...
One of my all time favorites, Tubular Bells, by Michael Olfield. He played everything but some of the drums I think it was, and some vocals by his wife. He also did an album called Hergest Ridge, good but not as good as Tubular Bells. Tubular Bells was also the theme from the movie “Exorcist”.

Steely Dan, “Do it Again”...
The sitar/guitar solo does it for me.
Second place, any top song from Moody Blues...the problem is I then have to play the whole album.
“Midnight Cruiser” for me.
The Doobie Brothers - “Neal’s Fandango” from Stampede.

Midnight Cruiser for me.

I’m with you on that, and,
“Only a Fool Would Say That”...love that one, too.
Very tough to pick a favorite song from Can’t Buy a Thrill.
For “Countdown to Ecstasy”, though it’s easy for me, “King of the World”.
I’ve heard that “Had a Dream (Sleeping With the Enemy)” is very good. I’ll have to check it out.
Tubular Bells is a beautiful song, even though “The Exorcist” is terrifying:)
