Comey covered for Hillary all through his testimony today. He’s not covering up an investigation into the Clinton Foundation, but the fact that there is no investigation.
And I agree with your point.
We live in lawless times with a criminal government replete with criminals at all levels. Are there no patriots...are there no “leaders” with a shred of integrity?

She had ZERO oversight. That was absolutely intentional on the Obama Administration’s part. And you can’t tell me Congress and the Senate did not know this.
They all were aware and wanted a shadow State Dept.
There is a theory of “genius clusters” in history, where for reasons unknown there occurs a group with great genius who make sea changes in the movement of history.
We are in the nadir between such clusters. Trump has a certain genius, but he is surrounded by cretins in the government.

Agree. Based on his other comments he always stipulated there needed to be a referral before anything gets done by FBI.
I do not recall any referral being made, and certainly no one asked that direct question.
I think Chaffitz was fishing with his question to see what Comey would say, or at the most positive spin. He knows there is one but just wanted to get something on the record about that possibility.
Bottom line high probability that the deleted non recoverable include damning Bengazi and Foundation info...

When asked about the CF, Comey said he would not say anything about that and made a point to say the purview of the just concluded investigation was focussed only on the legality of the basement server.
