Our elected officials are meant to act in a representative capacity that protects our interests & effects the greatest good. However, they are under no obligation to explain to their constituents the reasons behind certain decisions in matters of national security.
You can be left questioning the motives of the political class, and nurture a suspicion that the entire system is corrupt, since it doesn't comport with "your" narrow view & understanding of all the issues relevant to the situation.
But if you had all the facts at your disposal - as Trump may well have next year - would you act in a similar manner? You would have to suffer all the accusations and suspicions, never daring to tell the common people what the risks were and what was really at stake.
The bottom line is that after a long history of resource scarcity, we had a 250 year run of excess. Never before has that kind of situation ever existed. We are now on the down slope, yet the descent has to managed with 7b+ people all wanting a piece of the pie and armed with some capacity for WMDs.

The perfect Trump tv ad would quote her at least 5 times and then play Comey’s statement that there were 100+ emails with a MARKED security classification when they were received by Hillary.
