Bill Clinton has made a mess. It was either out of foolish indifference or plain foolishness, but it has created a terrible moment for his wife and the Democrats, and for President Obama and perceptions of the integrity of his administration.
[Snip]
The meeting has provided fodder for Donald Trump and Republican leaders to cast doubt on whatever conclusions the career prosecutors and Comey come to. Trump called it "so horrible" and said he was "flabbergasted" by the reports of it. On Friday, he questioned the description of the conversation that took place.
"I love my grandchildren so much," he said at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, "but if I talk about them for more than nine or 10 seconds; after that, what are you going to say?" He also said, "I love golf but after speaking about golf for a couple minutes, its tough."
Trump's campaign advisers long have seen the investigation as a win-win politically: Either Clinton is indicted and a major political crisis occurs for the Democrats or, if there is no case brought, the whole exercise was a whitewash. He can argue it round or square. If there is to be no charge against Clinton, Trump will point to the Lynch-Clinton meeting to question the integrity of the Justice Department's decision. He has been handed a gift, and the Republican base likely will respond with even greater indignation if no penalty is sought.

This is where I think the Trump campaign is missing out on a golden opportunity.
People HAVE been prosecuted and convicted for things similar to what Hillary has done.
Trump's campaign should do the research, and publicize those cases. Compare and contrast what Hillary has done to actual convictions.
Now is the time to do it, and box in the Dept. of Just Us. Force them to explain why Hillary is getting the kid glove treatment.
Is there anyone from the Trump campaign reading this?
I think they are trying to make the two of them almost look like twins, to fool the American voter. Who is, I must say, dumb enough to be fooled by identity politics and twinning women.
Democrats are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS!!!
lol...
I believe Bill does not want the witch to win and is making an effort to sabotage the run. The last thing he wants is to live in the same house as the witch and to have his personal life subjected to the microscope of public scrutiny.
I’ve thought that too. One dirty little secret is that the Clintons have pretty much lived separate lives for years. But Bill can come and go as he pleases now. If Hillary were president, he would have to move into the White House and pretend they are one big happy family.
And Bill would be in the fishbowl again, and his comings and goings would be under scrutiny. The business of the Clinton Foundation would be under much more scrutiny than it has been up to now. I don’t think Bill really wants his life to change that way.
The “CLINTON” thing is way past FATIGUE at this point.
I, for one, am PUKING SICK of the CLINTONS.
In fact, if I had one of those new BULIMIA PUKE MACHINES,
I’d have to use it right now!
May that evil witch Hillary Clinton finally augur into the Phoenix Ashes caused by her pigsh*t husband, never to rise again...
Democrats are LAW-LESS because Republicans are BALL-LESS!!!

True enough. This meeting would never have been discovered without a leak or a tip to ABC. We still don’t know anything about the fact other than what Lynch has said, and you know that is a lie. I believe the meeting was set up in advance and was to give them the all clear, no indictment story. They lie, this is standard operating procedure for the crooked Clinton, and no one should give them the benefit of the doubt on this. It is what it appears to be—flat out corruption. The press, if we had one, should be all over it, peppering HRC with questions about her involvement and making her tell transparent lies on camera.
Lieawatha, Pocahontas, and the New World Odor.
Hey, they sound like a Dyke punk rock band.
ALL Democrats are CORRUPT!! I PRAY that COMEY is NOT a DEMOCRAT!!!
Haven’t yet read the entire article, just the excerpt, but just have to ask a question.
Is there ANYTHING in the article that doesn’t assume that the Clintons are innocent and that it was just an innocent meeting with Lynch?
Any skepticism of the Democrats at all?
Or does the (Democratic) media just somehow “know” more than the FBI?
Is there a place to go to where one can invest in guillotine futures?
“Dan Balz? Is that his real name? refraining...refraining...”
Dan Balz, heap big Hebrew in MSM! Original teepee in Chicago.
S/B “HEAP big crap in nest!”
The call will not be Comey’s, though he will have some say. It will eventually come down to the two people mentioned at the end of this article, John Carlin and Sally Yates.

Both are Obama appointees, taking their current spots within the past two years. Carlin has been described by Joe DiGenova as “having very political instincts.” The other, Sally Yates, has been busily implementing Holder’s drug clemency program.
OMG!!! Is Sally Yates BLACK??
I’m still laughing, and my wife keeps asking me what’s going on. This has been a great week for those of us Hillary Haters. Please, convict her.
Bill was there to convey a message verbally...from from written record and free from wiretap.
He was there to remind Lynch of the time she took dirty money and that he still possess that picture of her husband with that 14yr old boy...naked.
Or some such other dirt.
Perhaps he conveyed a similar message for Obama.
THAT is surely the reason for this very unseemly meeting.
Lynch has got to the stupidest Boobambazaoid......everything out of her mouth is a paper trail of her guilt.
Hard to believe she’s an attorney.... and managing our legal system in the bargin.
Affirmative action victim.....the Boobambazoids think they never succeeded b/c racist white men kept them down.
It’s getting clearer A/A is a flop.
