[Fox News Alert] BREAKING NEWS: Clinton interviewed by FBI regarding email investigation

BREAKING – Hillary Clinton met Saturday morning with the FBI regarding the agency’s investigation into her use of a private email server for official correspondence while secretary of state.

The voluntary meeting lasted about three-and-a-half hours and was conducted at the FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., according to the Clinton campaign.

Clinton “is pleased to have had the opportunity to assist the Department of Justice in bringing this review to a conclusion” campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement. He also said Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, will not make further comment about the interview.

Clinton’s use of the private server and email address -- particularly whether the setup was used for classified information and how secure they were -- has cast a shadow over her campaign from the start.

The FBI investigation is purportedly coming to a close, and the Clinton interview is considered among the final steps in the case.

The weekend interview on a weekend when many Americans are traveling, camping and/or not watching much news is unfortunate timing.

Opening doors that enemy hackers can easily exploit, just so she could keep her private emails (the ones that were often related, if only tangentially, with raising money for Clinton Foundation, all while she concurrently 'did business' as Sec. of State) SHOULD BE enough to send her to federal prison for a long stretch. It's treasonous on one level, and additionally illegal on more than one additional level at the same time. The crimes were committed concurrently. Sentences should run consecutively.

There’s a good chance Bubba will spend the weekend in Little Rock. Staying in the top floor apartment in the Clinton Lie-berry and massage parlor.

Heard of someone taking kids there regularly that security was ramped up over the past few days.

I think the next few weeks are going to be very interesting. Being involved in the “investigative field”, the primary target of the investigation is usually interviewed last. So I tend to think the FBI is close to making a recommendation.

Most folks here are cynical and rightly so. But I think there is just too much information that is already known, that she completely skates. Too many investigators involved, too much time. Also telling are the sources that indicate they want to make a recommendation before the conventions. That seems kind of telling. Why would that be important if they were not going to recommend charges. A great October surprise for Hillary would be if the DOJ announced she was all free and clear. I think they are being sensitive to the election, and if they are going to recommend charges, they want to get it in before the conventions. So the Dems can change horses if they want.
