King Tut owned a dagger that was out of this worldliterally. Researchers have recently published a study in the journal Meteoritics & Planetary Science that supports what has long been suspected: The ancient Egyptians were using meteoritic iron well before the spread of iron smelting technology.
The recent study on King Tuts dagger, led by researchers from Italy and Egypt, used X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry to analyze the composition of the iron blade. Iron meteorites mostly contain iron and nickel, and the results of the XRF analysis on King Tuts dagger confirm that the blade is mostly composed of iron and nickel. Its chemical composition, according to the researchers, strongly suggests an extraterrestrial origin. The results are consistent with a 2013 study on the

The researchers of King Tuts dagger point out that by the 13th century B.C.E., the ancient Egyptians had a hieroglyphic term for iron of the sky, The ancient Egyptians must have regarded the skywith its gifts sent to earthwith wonder. I think it was a gift from Ancient Aliens. Somebody post a picture of George

If we're talking alien origin, I'd much rather be looking at Scully.

He could have used antibiotics instead - didn’t he die from an infection?

I think they found a meteorite and made some interesting stuff from it. Nothing more then that.

I like to think Anderson is a lefty, but Scully’s not. Spanking remains on the table either way.

Oddly enough, at least the ancient Nubians had an antibiotic in their beer.

They would have had to develop improved smelting furnaces for that purpose. There’s no evidence they had them. If they did they would have made more iron weapons.

In a movie, James Black makes the original Bowie knife from an iron meteorite. I have no idea if it was trying to be accurate, probably not.
Anyway I don’t think he or Bowie actually invented the Bowie knife. They just developed from many other similar ones.
