Historian Meacham Says Dems Win ‘Intellectual’ Argument, Trump Wins ‘Emotional’ One

Its the same kind of elitism expressed by Brexit opponents who are casting Leave people as ignorant, parochial hicks . . . On todays Morning Joe, historian Jon Meacham disparaged Trump supporters as people who think with their gut instead of with their head.
After video rolled of Trump supporting waterboarding and saying we had to fight ISIS fire with fire, Meacham sniffed: Democrats tend to seem to win the intellectual argument and Trump walks away with the emotional argument. Really? What was the intellectual argument won by Hillary, Obama and other Dems on the Russian reset, leading from behind, the Syrian redline, the toppling of Gaddafi, the withdrawal of all troops from Iraq and the Iranian nuclear deal? Hows this for an intellectual argument? Take your patronizing, condescending, elitism and shove it.

Democrats tend to seem to win the intellectual argument and Trump walks away with the emotional argument. 50-50 chance, and got it backwards.

I rarely discount the info because of who the speaker is, but Meacham said in his biography of Andrew Jackson that Jackson was the greatest President of all time. Greater than Washington, Lincoln, Reagan... All-Democrat-Spin-All-The-Time. The product of this guy's intellect is not worth the paper its written on, our time, or anyone's money.
He also was the editor of Newsweek, and we all remember what a great publication that ended up being...

The Democrats have been incapable of an honest intellectual debate for years.
They are maters of acting as if propaganda and bad 19th century socialist claptrap were “intellectual argument”.

The very thought of Obama and hillary winning an intellectual argument against Trump is mind-boggling ludicrous.

There was nothing “intellectual” about Americans declaring their independence from Britain. It was primarily an emotional and passionate decision. Some of the dumbest idiots I’ve ever met are “intellectuals”.

Intellectually, the Clintons are crooks. They have demonstrated so. The Clinton Foundation taking money from foreign powers while Hillary was SoS, her “speaking fees” from banks and other entities, etc, etc.
It doesn’t matter how much “experience” you have, if you are perceived to be dishonest.
