Not that I am not a natural curmudgeon at times, but I have a nasty cold which is impacting pretty much everything I do :(
Hope all is well with you :)

Fo’ shizzle!
Ah, bingo that is the likely problem then
I think he knew it was NOT a deal breaker, he knew that Congress would ignore the constitutional requirement. So, not only is he a lying snake, he knows that Congress is too, and that Congress (and the courts) would cover his ass.
I am pretty sure MS.BEHAVIN is in Maine, but geeze what do I know, I thought Right wing librarian was in Maine also, they’re in FL. MY GOODNESS I am getting old!!!
OMG I AM STARVING NOW!!!
- A pledge is unconditional...not like a contract with contingencies... —
Even contracts that lack contingecies and escape clauses can be broke, but there has to be a good reason. As I noted above, all of the candidates knew one of them would be the nominee, so they all knoew they were siging on to endorse one of the people on stage. There is no contingency, no unforseeable event, no extenuating circumstance.
They lied, pure and simple, when they pledged. If they wanted a contingency, they could have added one. “I pledge to support any nominee except Trump.” Easy enough to express, that was their position, but they held it back.
From my understanding**, a contract is contingency based...I will do this for you if you do that for me...
A pledge is not based on what the other person does...It is what the person giving the pledge has committed to doing regardless of other person’s conduct...
**LOL I have a nasty cold so my understanding may be totally off!
LOL, I see a pattern here....
Who do you think is NOT in Maine? ;)
I remember years ago what fun we had with marquee and /marquee.
While during the rally a young (around 20) boy was walking up and down our street like he was casing the neighborhood. I watched him with my Pepper Gel near just in case. After the second time walking down the street he was gone and a slow moving Police Car went by the house.
Then a few minutes TWO Police cars cruised by and stopped three houses down by an empty lot. My neighbor who was cutting his grass noticed the kid and came to my door. He told me the young boy who was around here a while back was in hand cuffs down the street and was being put into a Police car.
Sorry for long story but I missed the end of the rally for a good reason.
It's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I want to thank everybody that has helped us, and apologize if I have offended some. It is good to be back with my family again!!!
Now, I am going back to bed and will watch later!

Free Republic’s software, thwarts html code, if a html code is already introduced in a ready made fashion, into a post- like an emoji.
In other words, you can copy and paste a link to an article, that you want to post into a thread, and then you add an emoji... which is html code introduced from the “outside” essentially killing the interpretation by FR’s html decoder of a hot or working link... rendering it neutral.
Does that make sense?
Copy a link and add an emoji. Post it. The link will be non working, but the emoji will appear.
Remove the emoji, and post the link.
The link will be working or hot.
Now- there is a way to circumvent this behavior, by using html code, that will produce- both a working link AND an emoji.
I do not know this technique... but it is not that complicated.
Yes, that's the law of contacts, basically. My point was that even those agreements can be broken, legally, outside the four corners of the agreement, but only for a good reason. What constitutes good enough reason varies depending on the subject matter and the players, but there is nearly always an unwritten way out.
The same is true, generically, for a pledge. The distinction doesn;t turn on calling the deal a "pledge" or a "contract."
My point is that there is no good reason in this case. There is no unforseeable event. Trump winning the nomination was foreseeable. ut Cruz and Kasich lied when they said they would support any of the candidates.
I pledged allegiance to the flag, but give me a good enough reason, and I'll renege on that.
Yes! The Second Congressional district in Maine is, in area, the largest Congressional district east of the Mississippi River. It must be at least 80% of the state.
The ABC affiliate in Bangor carried Gov. Paul LePage’s speech, followed by Donald Trump’s speech.
Trump mentioned that Gov. LePage showed him a map of the state of Maine, and Trump said he never realized how big Maine is.....”that’s a lot of real estate you have here!”
Rangeley Lake....pretty country up there.
SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL! He’s back! Hey buddy... good to see ya’ We got this!
