British entrepreneur Richard Branson today said his Virgin Group had pulled out of a deal involving 3,000 jobs after Britain voted to leave the EU.
In a television interview, the billionaire businessman added that Britain was heading for recession after the pound slumped to its lowest level against the dollar in more than three decades in the immediate aftermath of last Thursday’s referendum result.

No. It's not a surprise. I am convinced that the concept of ‘checks and balances’ has to be revisited regularly in the context of any sovereign nation. Why? Because self-serving people whose actions are not adequately tempered by ethics and spirituality will ultimately find ways around the checks and balances. It's a little like computer viruses and antivirus software. There have to be constant updates to counter the viruses. The checks and balances in society must also be updated, regularly, or we will fall prey to those whose focus is to get around them.
The market collapse secondary to the Brexit vote was, IMHO, a reaction by the viruses to an approach that would neutralize them.

These idiots with these pronouncements are saying nothing about how the UK will fare once separate from the EU--on the contrary, they are broadcasting their own biases. Logically, why would anyone expect the UK to fare any worse once liberated from the EU than countries that have never joined the EU--like Norway and Switzerland?
I should add that I hope other countries vote for freedom in the near future.

I read a post on another forum about the post brexit vote shenanigans, and one commenter referred to the situation as (paraphrasing), another shot in wealthy’s war against their employees. I’m sure the poster was a Bernie-bot, or the Brit equivalent, but ... given some of what we’ve seen, and this, it’s hard not to have some sympathy for the poor Brits.
Of course, they didn’t have to put the political equivalent of Lucas in charge of their country, either. That’s entirely on them.
The EU and other globalists are determined to make the Brexit movement fail for thinking they could challenge the globalist movement and restore British Independence.

I’m thinking the same - in 1939/1940, the EASY WAY OUT was to cut a deal with Europe (i.e., Hitler), and probably remain prosperous and relative free...for a shot time.
But ehough Brits knew that this was an ILLUSION and that they were DOOMED if they didn’t step up and fight the Nazis...and the rest was history.
My guess is that even their stock market took a hit when they decided that Nazism wasn’t for them...yet we don’t read about that - for they had a MUCH MORE IMPORTANT objective.
