All of this in spite of the fact that ours is a republic founded and built upon the proposition that ALL men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with the unalienable right to life. All of this in spite of the fact that the supreme law of our land explicitly, absolutely, requires equal protection for the right to life of EVERY person, in every jurisdiction. All of this in spite of the fact that the crowning stated purpose of our Constitution is “to secure the Blessings of Liberty to our Posterity.”
