A slot at the GOP convention used to be a career-maker a chance to make your name on the big stage and to catch the eye of the Republican donors and activists who make or break campaigns.
In the year of Trump: Not so much.
With the convention less than a month away, POLITICO contacted more than 50 prominent governors, senators, and House members to gauge their interest in speaking. Only a few said they were open to it and everyone else said they either werent planning on it, didnt want to, werent going to Cleveland at all, or simply didnt respond.

Let’s not forget Nehlen!!!!
There will be such a speech . Who will deliver it?
Who will marry finally drive the stake into the heart of today's cancerous Republicanism, replacing it with Trumpism to excite the convention to delirium America?
“Seems to me that this helps Trumps image as an outsider, which could attract some of that 10% independent vote.”
Good observation. You are right. This just helps Trump’s image as being an outsider. GO TRUMP GO
you are very much mistaken
the event is the Republican convention
those in attendance will be Republicans
Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee
How am I mistaken? You mean the convention won’t be broadcast to America?
Thanks Politico! Another searchable article providing the names of Republicans who want to see Hillary win, and patriots who support Trump.
Let me add my post so I can re-visit my younger (warmer) self’s musings next January or so, after Trump is sworn-in and we’re making lists of who was naughty and who was nice.
Yes! How could I forget?
: )
The fact is, outside of Trump, which Republicans would get anyone fired up? Mitt?!?!? Please. The GOP are boring losers, and Trump is the best thing to happen to them in years.
Pollutico.
.
1) Hunter is in trouble right now relating to his family's personal use of campaign funds.
2) Hunter recently stated that he will not try to support some of the things that Trump has said.
3) Hunter recently stated that he plans to skip the convention.
I had considered Hunter to be a rising star, but he really needs to get his own affairs in order before he will be of any help to Trump.
Don't trust spellcheck.
So true, so true. ;-)
I knew there had to be a reason!
Yeah, riiiight.
I’ve maintained, even as a Cruz supporter, that the communists have instituted their agenda in small steps.
If Trump is the first step for the retaking of America, so be it.
Let’s Roll!
