During an event at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars on Thursday to discuss how women are disproportionately affected by climate change in developing countries, Jane Harman, president and CEO of the center, said that many of the refugees around the globe today are being displaced by climate change.
Harman said it is in the interest of the United States to “build resilience” in these countries to prevent migration and even terrorism.
“It seems to me that the U.S. has a direct interest in building government capacity, which will build resilience in the countries you’re talking about,” Harman said. …

Gee, we hear jokes here sometimes how liberals say all issues hurt women and children and minorities the worst.
And here we see an actual report of women being the ones hurt the most by climate change.

No, we can’t cite any actual changes. The worst will happen 100 years from now if nothing is done today.
I think it’s strange that the liberals say climate change is the greatest issue facing us. Personally I think Muslim terror is a bigger problem for civilization. But just saying, liberals who feel angst about what they fear will happen in 50 or 100 years, could easily be the ones whose heads get chopped off by the likes of ISIS.
If we and our descendents aren’t even alive, then talk of global warming becomes a moot point doesn’t it?

I never know whether to laugh or cry or be angry when I hear this BS. Years ago( 2009??) the county allotted $250,000 for a climate change study on beach erosion( Humboldt County Calipornia) and then the same city council was exasperated in losing police and sheriff’s with the ever higher crime.
I pointed out once in a meeting they could do without the climate change and give that money to the police and they told me not to get political on climate change. I asked if allotting money to a democratically voted sheriff and allotting money via a city council is not political? For once they were silenced. But it did no good.
No ,mthey are the result of Assad releasing islamics in his country to counter revolt and the same policy is applied here.
Obviously this is a subtle language allying islamists so as to mess global warming skeptics and communist skeptics, just like Assad did.
So if climate change is reversed they’ll leave?
