No, a new CinC won’t be able to take away the mess, no matter how conservative he is. Are they going to discharge the sexual deviants that have been ensconced in the military, or will they be “grandfathered?” As long as their presence persists, it will be a festering infection. The hell it was. Clinton's first act in office was to push to let gays openly serve. Don't Ask Don't Tell was the compromise that was put in place when the military brass opposed that idea.
