House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., says he has no influence over Republican convention delegates' decisions on whether to change their minds about supporting Donald Trump.
Ryan, who endorsed Trump earlier this month, is the convention's chairman. But he told NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, "It is not my job to tell delegates to do, what not to do, or to weigh in on things like that. They write the rules. They make their decisions."
Asked for his opinion on the matter, Ryan said, "My opinion is not relevant here."
Trump reaffirmed Sunday that he can win the presidency whether the Republican Party gets behind his candidacy or not.

Trump needs experienced intelligent assistance. He should announce Newt as his VP ASAP.

Citizens of WI-1: PLEASE GET RID OF THIS GUY!
If Ryan had run for President he would have never make it out of the ‘kids’ debate... Trump represents the will of the people. Ryan represents the will of elected GOP insiders..
Ryan is a muzzie; bank on it.
oh
Please Wisconsin voters unelect this POS.
Wow! What a full-throated endorsement. What a unifying, path to victory statement!
Do I really need the /sarc tag?
Trump ought to cut RINO Ryan off at the knees!
(Figuratively of course)
I think after the convention LYIN RYAN is going to discover HELL hath no fury like that of OUR nominee I personally CAN’T WAIT for the fireworks to begin like Mr. Trump endorsing NEHLEN!!!!
Me, as well.
Except for his penchant for helping those who hate America, nothing about the guy is relevant - even as he works behind (and in front) of the scenes to commit tyranny against the Will of the People....
Still waiting for Cruz to man up and declare against Hillary by endorsing Trump, but he's probably hoping Ryan is successful and that he'll have some coattails to ride on.
