Trump: ‘It would be helpful’ if Republicans would help him
Washington Post ^ | June 18, 2016 | Jill Colvin And Michelle Rindels, AP

Donald Trump railed Saturday against efforts by some frustrated Republicans planning a last-ditch effort to try to thwart him from becoming the party’s nominee, threatening at one point to stop fundraising if Republicans don’t rally around him.

Speaking at a theater at the Treasure Island hotel on the Las Vegas strip, Trump referred to “an insurgent group” trying to deny him delegates at the party’s July convention.

I do wish you and your ilk would crawl back under a rock or move back to Canada.

All the money and time and effort he’s put out so far and that’s not good enough for you?

He should do all this work for free for the Republicans so they can spend their money on people who don’t support him? He should put all the effort into fund raising for them for their other candidates but not himself.

Petty and small.

I think Republicans need to call their representatives about just this issue.

I contacted mine a few days ago and got the weirdest email back almost immediately.

“Thank you for contacting me regarding your views regarding the nominees for the office of President of the United States.

As this is my official House office, I am not permitted by federal law to discuss the issues you have raised; however, I have forwarded it to the proper channels and agree this is an important election. Thank you for writing and I appreciate your opinion.”

?? not permitted by federal law to discuss it ??

Due to Name Recognition (Real Estate/TV Reality) he probably spent less than Huckabee in the primary. There was much talk then about how ‘cheap’ he was running it. The GOPe has the organization at each state level, which will be critical for the Election.

The clueless one was Trump who thought he could go around talking about having money to self fund and then expecting people to contribute money to him once he changed his tune...He should not have lied and used it as a selling point. And Buddy, at least I was not stupid enough to back someone that so, so many dislike, starting with republicans, someone who also contributed to the sleazy Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and contributed to the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton’s corruption obviously did not matter to Trump when he was writing out those checks to them....I realize there are people here who choose to turn a blind eye to those red flags, but facts are facts.

At this point any anti-Trump effort, regardless of the intentions, ONLY helps Hillary Clinton become president.

That's the plan.

I complained to my congressman about Ryan’s undermining of Trump and got back something similar about “House ethics rules forbid me from utilizing my congressional office to engage in any type of political activity. “
Very irritating, as Ryan isn’t running for president!

Looks like the GOPe has advised the Members to use this method to avoid the subject.
A dumb, futile scheme.

What a copout. Isn’t Ryan himself engaging in political activity?

Well, Congressman Amodei understands that I will not vote for him or any Republican down ballot if he and his cohorts don’t put a stop to this.

>The Clinton’s corruption obviously did not matter to Trump when he was writing out those checks to them....I realize there are people here who choose to turn a blind eye to those red flags, but facts are facts.

You and a lot of other people here don't understand the nature of the corruption in Washington DC. You accept the liberal idea that rich people buy politicians. In reality rich people who don't buy politicians get screwed by the political burocircy. It's a protection racket and rich guys either play ball or get destroyed by the system. Trump is one of those rich guys who always hated the system which is why he's so honest about how corrupt it is. Everyone else playing the system lies about it.

The biggest example of this system on action is the government lawsuits against Microsoft over Internet Explorer. Now for those of you who don't remember MS was sued for including a free Web browser with the OS back when Web browsers still cost money to get a fully featured version. The government went after MS for years over the non crime of including extra software in their OS. The reason they went after MS was the lack of political donations to DC. MS was one of the many new major corporations in the 90s who didn't feel the need to corrupt politicians. Eventually they wised up and started paying both parties off and the lawsuits went away. Today there are no major corporations or billionaires in America who don't pay into the corrupt system out of simple self protection.

If you'd like that system to continue then by all means continue your support of Hillary. Or vote Trump for a chance to Make America Great Again.
