Donald Trump on Saturday accused Jeb Bush of mounting a convention coup against him, after reports that Republican delegates who don't personally support Trump are looking for ways to avoid voting for him this summer.
"By the way, Jeb is working on the movement, just so you understand," Trump said to supporters at a rally in Las Vegas.
"Jeb is one of the people that's working — and the other one should be obvious," he said, though he didn't elaborate further.
Earlier at the rally, however, Trump echoed the Republican National Committee and said the reports were a media hoax.
"It's all made up by the press, folks. It's a hoax," Trump said. "This is a story — who are they going to pick? I beat everybody. I beat the hell out of them."

hmmm. I heard the court said Prescott Bush, I think it was, and the whole Bush family, could never again hold an elected office.
Since I heard that, have been trying to find someone who could explain what has gone on. Since their running for office seems to have been forbidden by the court.

We should get one of those circus clown cannons and fire Bush across the convention hall. Back in reality I’m attempting to grasp the impenetrable arrogance of these political people. These jack balls act as if they’ve been anointed by some divine entity.
They all ought to go find legitimate work because they failed big at playing leaders. They’re a disgrace.

I was vaguely aware that GW and Jeb have other siblings but have only paid attention to the politically active members of the family: GHW, GW, Jeb, and Jeb’s son.
Makes me wonder why Neil supported Cruz when Jeb was running and GW had publicly stated his dislike for the Senator.

Hugh Hewitt: GOP Must Dump Trump Or ‘Get Killed’ In Election

Conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt thinks the Republican Party must change its convention rules in order to choose a presidential nominee other than Donald Trump, or else face certain defeat in November.
“It’s like ignoring stage-four cancer. You can’t do it, you gotta go attack it,” Hewitt said on his show Wednesday. “And right now the Republican Party is facing—the plane is headed towards the mountain after the last 72 hours.”
The GOP’s fragile unity threatened to fall apart on Tuesday, as Republican leaders who grudgingly agreed to support Trump came out with forceful condemnations of his claims that the “Mexican” heritage of a federal judge rendered him biased against Trump in a case involving Trump University.
In an astonishing press conference, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) called the presumptive nominee’s remarks “the textbook definition” of a racist comment. Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) withdrew his support Trump, and Iowa state Sen. David Johnson (R) became the first elected Republican to leave the party because of Trump’s comments about minorities.
Hewitt said simply rejecting Trump’s candidacy wasn’t enough and that a new candidate would have to be named in his place.
“I wanna support the nominee of the party, but I think the party ought to change the nominee,” he said. “Because we’re going to get killed with this nominee.”
“They ought to get together and let the convention decide,” he went on. “And if Donald Trump pulls over a makeover in the next four to five weeks, great, they can keep him. It would be better if he had done so five weeks ago.”
The conservative radio host has withheld an endorsement in the 2016 race, referring to himself frequently as “Switzerland.” But Hewitt said in February that he would endorse Trump as the nominee even after Trump repeatedly mocked his “low-rated show.”
Seven percent of Republicans backed Bush... Ninety-three percent of Republicans voted against him.
Are these people nuts?
First off, there’s been talk of this delegate/convention nonsense, for months. This is the first time I’ve heard Trump,address it, and I’m thankful that he is.
Secondly, heading off any and all Bush/Romney/cRuz shenanigans NOW, is better than later.
The irony of all this is that some of the Cruz delegates who would be among the defectors would be in for a big surprise if they think Cruz will get to play in the Bush/WisconsinWussies game.
Yes, Bush et al would need Cruz's delegates, so they'd pretend to give him a spot on the ticket at first. Then if their coup worked, after the convention they'd drop him like a hot rock when the Dems filed the first birther lawsuit. "Oops! Sorry Ted, We'll have to go with Ryan/Jeb/Romney. Sorry, buddy."
They know they wouldn't win in November. Nobody, even this bunch of brainless Tiddlywink-turds, is THAT stupid. And they know it would mean the death of the GOP party forever. And that right there makes me wonder what they know about our future that we haven't figured out yet. I really don't put anything off the table when it comes to this den of snakes.
