Several GOP delegates working to block Trump's nomination: report

At least 30 delegates are mounting a longshot attempt to deny Donald Trump the GOP presidential nomination on the convention floor, The Washington Post reported Friday.

The delegates hope to change party rules next month to take away delegates who are pledged to the presumptive nominee but who may not actually support him. The attempt comes on the heels of a tough stretch for Trump, who has seen his favorability plummet and any lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton evaporate over his attacks on a Hispanic federal judge, comments this week about banning Muslims and other controversies.

The State delegates are governed by their State Party rules, I believe. Not sure
how the National convention intends to take away how the state party allots their votes.

They would all have to be on the rules committee. There are 2 people from each State on the rules committee. So thirty, if they really are on the committee (They are voted on by the delegation) couldn’t do squat.

TRUMP supporters mowed their lawns and were MIA, while generally enjoying the turn of the season, missing EVERY single step all the way through, for becoming a delegate.

They missed their PRECINCT meetings nation wide.

They missed their COUNTY conventions nation wide.

They missed their STATE conventions nation wide.

Therefore, they missed the NATIONAL convention.

Cruz’ appeal was to the grassroots delegates at the precinct level in every town, because they are the conservative ACTIVISTS who know all the steps to becoming a delegate.

Still, TRUMP swamped these yahoos in the state Primaries.

State wins and those margins of win fall to the National Convention. Those are the rules.

But, PEOPLE choose to serve their country and show up.

The rules are, that, in most states, the delegates are bound by law to vote for the one who won the primary. That is the system that Limbaugh joyfully talked about every time it was used by Cruz. So Trump used the system and won.

Would love to see some recent, and legit polling in Ryan’s district.

Good news is that primary is in August. So there is time for a movement against Ryan to gain steam, perhaps with help from Trump depending on what goes down at the convention.
