On Thursday Senator Ted Cruz took to the Senate floor to address the Islamic terrorist attack in Orlando. The speech he gave should be the standard Republican response to the lefts deflection towards gun-control instead of addressing the real issue at hand: defeating radical Islamic terrorism.

So, you’re saying he’s agreeing with Trump.
I take it he pointed out that electing Mrs. Clinton would be national suicide, and that Trump’s policies will put American interests and safety ahead of the Dem/Hillary practice of flooding the US with Muslims?
In the wake of the attack, many of us predicted what would unfold, and it was, sadly, the same political tale we have seen over and over again. Many of us predicted that Democrats would, as a matter of rigid partisan ideology, refuse even to say the words ``radical Islamic terrorist''; that they would suggest this attack was yet another isolated incident, one lone criminal, not connected to any global ideology, not connected to any global jihad; and that, even worse, they would try to use it as an excuse to go after the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. ...The legislation I have introduced, which I would urge this body to take up, would impose a 3-year moratorium on refugees coming from any nation where ISIS or Al Qaeda or radical Islamic terrorists control a substantial portion of the territory.
The speech is worth reading in its entirety.
Hmmmm. Or is Trump agreeing with him. So much info these days. :) Sadly, the congr-ass is more concerned about muzzie feelings than our ‘supposed’ guaranteed rights.
Thank Senator Cruz for what? Flapping his gums on the Senate floor? How brave of him.
Thank you.
He is saying what all of our congressmen should be saying.
God bless him.
Actually, I think you'll see that Trump is agreeing with Cruz. Senator Cruz has been saying this long before Trump started.
And yet, he is still working behind the scenes to ensure Hillary is elected president in 2016, so he (Ted Cruz) can run for president in 2020.
We need to unite to stop Hillary. Why can’t Ted Cruz do the one, most important thing required to stop Hillary: get behind the Republican nominee?
United we stand. Divided we elect Hillary.
He was mostly critical of the Senate. Only one mention of Hillary, and that was in a form that mocked both her and Obama.
In response to my criticism and that of many others, President Obama gave a press conference where he said, echoing the words of Hillary Clinton: What difference does it make if we call it radical Islamic terrorism?
Given that Cruz is calling for a three year moratorium on immigration from certain countries, I have no issue with him not supporting Trump by name. He can support Trump's policies, and in a way, that is even better than supporting Trump by name.
Sorry Ted. If you’d been judicious and well-directed in your “blasts”, we might pay attention to you.
The two have always been close on policy issues.
Yeah, if he want’s to do something-endorse our nominee!
I doubt that Cruz would of been so bold on the campaign trail if he was the nominee. He’s still a Bush disciple despite what you purist conservatives think of him.
I do believe Trump aired his opinion first.
No.
Count Copulot should be in prison for felony fraud. A low life scumbag canadian serial liar.
FU POS
Thank you for posting, but in the event you haven’t noticed, FReepers hate Ted Cruz. Doesn’t matter what he says or does, they hate him. Good luck.
Link now says document does not exist on server?
I would like to read the speach.
I like that he did this, but he should endorse Trump enthusiastically as well.
