All guns kill. Some do so with horrifying efficiency.
In Orlando early Sunday, a heavily armed madman opened fire on the crowd at a gay nightclub. The attack killed 49 people and wounded 53. It also reopened the tortured debate about gun ownership in America, where the Second Amendment protects the right to bear arms. In many states that protection translates into the ability to walk into a store, fill out minimal paperwork and leave with a military-style rifle.

I have a gun that has never killed, at least not to my knowledge. I suppose it might have snuck out of my house and prowled the dark alleys and killed something out there but I never knew it if it did.
Actually, people kill.
Guns are just one of the many mechanisms available to accomplish that end.
I suppose that doesn't fit the story the left wants told because the presence of the officer, while reported in the second set of MSM reports disappeared later. I am guessing he was a hired security guard. Clubs like that like to have off duty cops as their security guards. Gun free zones aren't "gun free" for police, on or off duty.
—been wondering why, when he perp must have had to reload at least 6 times, had time to send numerous f-book messages ,etc., why wasn’t there any resistance of any kind?
“All guns kill. Some do so with horrifying efficiency”. .....
So do hammers, knives, cars, etc. It is NOT the gun that kills, a gun is only a tool. The real “killers” are the people using the tool(s) at hand. The only thing about guns killing people is they work a bit faster than throwing a hammer.
It is likely that some of the dead were killed by the Swat Team that entered the building about 5 am. Perhaps we need to ban ‘assault’ Swat Teams... /s
“.......If this guy had a legal semi-auto weapon, how was he able to kill or wound over 100 people?....
So what if a police officer goes crazy and kills a group of people with his POLICE DEPT. ISSUED ASSAULT RIFLE, do we take away ALL police department assault weapons?
>The grounds of a constitutionally guaranteed right to defend oneself. Remember, by definition, criminals dont obey laws
>
IMO, you lost the debate right there. If you’re going to go by ‘definition’, define correctly:
1) The Constitution guarantees nothing
2) Our Rights, as much as the 2nd, are inalienable
3) Defense is but ONE facet of the Right to keep/bear arms; it is not the end-all.
Which is easier to get rid of, a few thousand radical muzzies, or 10s of millions of semi auto firearms?
Then there are also assault Mustangs. Some woman ran over her HIV infected boyfriend yesterday after she found out he was HIV.
Well, the cowardly police allowed the muslim 3 hours to kill, unencumbered by any police presence.
A lot of homos would be alive today if the cops had possessed the ball sack to do the right thing and storm the building, especially after it became apparent that the muslim was holed up in the bathroom for the last few hours or so.
Heck, some of the homos inside were actually texting and tweeting about what was going on inside during those 3 hours.
...If a semi-auto rifle is an assault weapon, then a hammer can be an assault hammer and a shoe can be an assault shoe....
Here’s what it all boils down to.
If if shoots bullets or balls, it’s an evil gun. No matter if it’s a .17, a .22, a 9mm, a shotgun, an AR or a musket.
Jusy calling it a gun is sufficient for demonization.
Guns are the easy target.
I could walk into a crowded supermarket unarmed and kill everyone in the building in 10 minutes without a weapon.
I am not a killer. I merely study things to learn how to survive an attack.
Until the powers above decide to actually protect us we’re on our own.
Gun control works! Just look at Chicago! /s
I stuck only with weapons that had killed more than 49. Otherwise there would be no end. And 4 fit well graphically.
Isn’t that the way Sharia law works? They punish the raped and not the rapist?
