Trump delivers one of the best speeches by a political candidate in years.

The MSM quote a few Republican establishment types who have nothing positive to offer. Only attacks on Trump.

They quote a former Bush aide, a former Romney aide, a CFR member and Eliot Cohen as Republican establishment people. The MSM and these people are worse than useless.

Their reaction was written before the speech was made

The establishment will use any means necessary to prevent President Trump from taking office.

Any means necessary.

Yes, Republican foreign-policy figures are so much more important than rank-and-file voters. /S

what could be a crucial moment to re-boot his sputtering presidential campaign.

Sputtering???
What planet is the writer from?
Trump is attracting huge crowds where ever he speaks.
Hillary can barely fill a room, that’s sputtering.

The establishment wants to double down on the stupidity of proclaiming Islam as “a religion of peace” despite ALL historical evidence.

We have Americans being killed because they refuse to acknowledge the threat of Islam.

Islam has been at war with everyone else since 622 A.D. and must remain at war with everyone else until there is no one else.

Wake up and smell the jihad.

"It's a missed opportunity to present a different image," said Peter Feaver, a top National Security Council aide in the George W. Bush White House. "He has doubled down on policies I oppose and that aren't going to solve the problem."

Good. Bush's people oppose it...more proof that Trump is spot on!

Trump won the nomination in spite of the Republican establishment. Trump will win the election without them either.

The establishment is quick to say that the policy is not going to solve the problem, but they don't say why it will not solve the problem. Yet prima facie (correct until proved otherwise) common sense is that if the terrorists are not IN the country they cannot commit terror attacks IN the country.

Spin, spin, spin.

Just because Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan disapprove does not mean that he nailed it.

Those feckless pukes in the GOPe are so afraid of the liberal media that they are incapable of saying and doing what must be said and done.

The media reports the exact OPPOSITE of what took place.

Trump continues to connect to the American voters.

It falls flat with the establishment since they must have their cheap labour. Their corporate paymasters demand it.

And that’s exactly why the mainstream GOP candidates got their butts handed to them.. out of touch then, out of touch now...

They don’t care, its not their kids and families who have to deal with these threats and their bad decisions that lead to them.

I love all these inside the beltway types who feel their “superior” polices are the answer. These Neocons and others have failed and failed miserably and yet we can’t consider other ideas or methodology because we aren’t the “Experts” who know best.

Some of Trump’s ideas may be unworkable but at least they are a start to a new dialogue. Why are these people so opposed to trying something new? Rhetorical question indeed.

Yesterday Trump reached out to the more moderate Muslim’s and asked for help, this a is reasonable course.

This country from about 1920 through the early 1960’s had a very stringent immigration policy and it worked. Unrestricted Immigration is a disaster, look at Europe. We can’t be a place for everyone, we can’t absorb all these people and support them. We may be a country of immigrants but we can’t be a country of unrestricted immigration.
