Trump's post-Orlando message falls flat with Republican establishment

The mass shooting in Orlando, Florida has allowed Donald Trump to seize upon a familiar issue he has used to great advantage -the threat of Islamist militants and his plan to limit Muslim immigration to the United States, offering him what could be a crucial moment to re-boot his sputtering presidential campaign.

But while rank-and-file voters might respond positively to Trump's renewed call for a ban on some Muslims entering the country, his reaction to the massacre showed few initial signs of winning over Republican foreign-policy figures who have spurned the New York mogul.

"It's a missed opportunity to present a different image," said Peter Feaver, a top National Security Council aide in the George W. Bush White House. "He has doubled down on policies I oppose and that aren't going to solve the problem."

But electrified the American people.

Those few who heard any of it.

Those feckless pukes in the GOPe are so afraid of the liberal media that they are incapable of saying and doing what must be said and done.

Their apparent fecklessness is driven by the fact that they are already on the Saudi payroll.

The media reports the exact OPPOSITE of what took place.

Trump continues to connect to the American voters.

It falls flat with the establishment since they must have their cheap labour. Their corporate paymasters demand it.

And stokes the flames of his election while calling out the ineffective admin, establishment, Congress and media?

Gee, I can’t see WHY it’d be so under-reported /s

And that’s exactly why the mainstream GOP candidates got their butts handed to them.. out of touch then, out of touch now...

They don’t care, its not their kids and families who have to deal with these threats and their bad decisions that lead to them.

I love all these inside the beltway types who feel their “superior” polices are the answer. These Neocons and others have failed and failed miserably and yet we can’t consider other ideas or methodology because we aren’t the “Experts” who know best.

Some of Trump’s ideas may be unworkable but at least they are a start to a new dialogue. Why are these people so opposed to trying something new? Rhetorical question indeed.

Yesterday Trump reached out to the more moderate Muslim’s and asked for help, this a is reasonable course.

This country from about 1920 through the early 1960’s had a very stringent immigration policy and it worked. Unrestricted Immigration is a disaster, look at Europe. We can’t be a place for everyone, we can’t absorb all these people and support them. We may be a country of immigrants but we can’t be a country of unrestricted immigration.

Who cares what the GOPe and RINO think?
Or, how they react. They brought this on themselves with their lies and deceit.

This is actually funny, because these wieners are so reliably vindictive. When someone on the conservative side starts winning on their own terms, these fools chime in that they “have” to reach out to their enemies, to water down their beliefs in “consensus” with those who want the opposite.

“Can’t you ‘reach across the Atlantic’ to offer Hitler concessions? Maybe he will only kill *half* of the Jews!”

Who cares what the RINOcrats say. They are irrelevant except to serve as leftist buttboys along with the fifth-column media.

I think we have a bunch of girlie boys in our elite republican offices. They are afraid to speak the truth, why? I have an idea it has to do with money and holding onto their positions. They may have a lot to hide, what?, who knows.

I’m no trump supporter, but since when were the R establishment and him ever friends? I thought their little war was a major part of his appeal.

“...a crucial moment to re-boot his sputtering presidential campaign.”

Yes, he’s only polling at sixty percent of likely voters.

Best political speech American’s have heard in many years. it was so well the Opposition media has immediately jumped the wagon and is selling a different narrative.

That section of speech Trump gave should now become fully incorporated into his campaign rally speeches. Replacing some of the older material or non-current material used to fill in the silence between thoughts.
