He seemed to be having trouble processing the sudden conflict between two “constituencies” that are particularly close to him. He can’t resolve it.

What is disgusting me about this entire episode is apparently the FBI missed this killer despite their efforts. This tells me the FBI is either incompetent or complicit with the administration.
Either way, how can we trust them to do a thorough investigation into Hilarity?

Why doesn’t someone put him on the spot and point blank ask him that all the stringent gun control laws in France didn’t stop (or even slow down) the Islamic terrorists that executed the Charlie Hebdo and Paris attacks in 2015, so why would laws that he and his political party propose stop (or slow down) these types of incidents here?
This tells me the FBI is either incompetent or complicit with the administration.
I think we all know the answers to these questions for we are not fools. Their record of incompetence is legend.
That’s the scariest part. The total lack of emotion in his voice and features as he talks about these horrific events. Just that calm, monotonic drone.
