There is a difference. Right now he is being coddled and loved on because he is gay and told that the problem is that people hate his gayness. I do not see anyone in his circle telling him about his sin. His mother and family are all accepting of his lifestyle, as are all of the press and others talking to him. Oh God! Nobody hated Jesus more then those who nailed him to the cross and yell crucify him by the millions. Orlando has nothing on those people.

Doesn’t help that the bible was written centuries after actual events. Can you imagine people today writing something from last week? It would be a mess.

That is a bizarre and unwarranted comment. I know I am a sinner and know that I am saved by His Grace, not by anything of mine or mine actions.

Alamo did not ask for forgiveness, or another chance at living right or anything but another day. I was just bringing out the fact that he called on God to save his life, but for what reason?

The New Testament gospels were written by witnesses. Grated, it was compiled, perhaps, decades later. As I read them, especially Luke who explicitly states as much, the gospels were written “ that the world may know”.

Our God is a loving and extremely patient God (I KNOW h has been with me). He will patiently wait for us to repent and come to Him. Sometimes it takes a very scary situation to bring us to repentance and to call on Him.

I hope this young man will know God did spare him and will now focus on God and surrender his life to him.

Not most of the Bible. Genesis and perhaps Job. The books of the Prophets, the Pslams and Proverbs were certainly written in real time.

The Gospels were only written a few decades after Christ went to Heaven. The Epistles in the New Testament and Revelation were in real time.

And who gets to decide which parts are translated correctly and which parts are not? Are you wise enough to know which ones God meant and which scriptures He did not?

But God not only inspired, he preserved, so that we might know His mind. Without preservation, inspiration means nothing.
