Mitt Romney blasted the Republican Party on Saturday for not doing more to stop presumptive nominee Donald Trump, saying that the prospects for the party are bleak.
During a discussion in Park City, Utah, where Romney is hosting his annual conservative summit, the 2012 presidential nominee singled out Trumps former rivals Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio), the last two candidates to drop out of the race against Trump.
"Ted Cruz was basically praising Donald Trump through the whole process," Romney told discussion host and CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. And Kasich was in well after the time there was no possible pathway to becoming the nominee."

"Seeing this is breaking my heart," he added of the future of the party.
Romney has intensified his attacks on Trump over the weekend during his annual retreat.
During another interview with Blitzer on Friday, Romney accused Trump of promoting trickle-down racism, misogyny and bigotry.

It is breaking his heart because the C-sucker knows his days of robbing from the people to fund his Church is over.
And if any of you think I am kidding, just think of Boss Harry Reid and the crap he has got away with through the years and the Mormon church will not kick his criminal ass out.
The Mormon Church is the biggest reciever of government theft aside from the Klintoons. Where there is Government money, the Mormon church and its followers are never far behind. They do it through government grants mainly, that and by whatever other means they can.
He is a drama queen when the globalist uniparty power is questioned or threatened. He’s a citizen of the world and deep down, he knows that has no meaning at all.
Never is not correct. Cruz praised and defended Trump on numerous occasions last year. It was not until he rose high enough in the polls to be his main rival that Cruz started doing a 180 on Trump and being tremendously more negative about him (obviously for political reasons). Soon after Cruz dropped out, MSNBC compiled and replayed many clips of Cruz speaking very highly of Trump from earlier in the campaign.
I hope Mitt slips on the ice and suffers a concussion when he lands on his rump.
If Mittens had put half this effort into going after Obama, he might have won, and then he would be running!
My respect for Reince has been going up lately.
Mitt, take your magic underwear and go home. You are done.
That’s right. I supported the choice of the people, even though I wanted Santorum. How does Romney respond? He throws people like me and other FReepers who voted for him under the bus by trying to throw this election to the Democrats!
Well, bye.
It’s not the thought, it’s the language.
Are we gutter people like the Mexican 8 year-olds flipping off Romney-supporting women or are we ladies and gentlemen.
Cheap language is the sign of a thought process not well thought-out.
It didn’t break Mitt’s heart to easily lose to one of the worst Presidents in our country’s history.
He say the GOP’s future bleak - yup, he’s right about that because like him - it failed to stop Obama.
We don’t need more surrender artists. The American people understand exactly what the GOP is - the Party Of Obama.
And if it crashes and burns, I for one will not miss it.
Well Priebus wants to keep his job.
Willard’s sole reason for running in 2008 and 2012 was to assure no Conservative got the GOP nomination and that they’d lose to Zero. His sole concern in 2016 is assuring Hillary’s election.
I understand now where you are coming from. And I agree with your comments now. Thank you for explaining. Sometimes I need to be cited.
“Romney: Future of GOP is ‘breaking my heart’ “
If only he were telling the truth, for once. I won’t hold my breath waiting for the autopsy.
SORRY, HUGE TYPO.
Make that Trump-supporting women.
Just of plane from Israel and am dame bred, make that brain dead.
No problem. Have a good weekend.
Title should be: Mitt Romney endorses Hillary Clinton
Thanks!
