On Friday, the police department of San Jose, California, issued a statement in which it said that concerns were raised that protecting Trump supporters at a campaign rally in the city might have further inflamed the socialist, anti-American mob that fell on the rally like a pack of wild mongrel dogs.
According to the statement, the SJPD held off on arresting the thugs seen committing crimes because it had the difficult task of weighing the need to immediately apprehend the suspect(s) against the possibility that police action involving the use of physical force under the circumstances would further insight the crowd and produce more violent behavior.

What really matters is that all of the San Jose LEO’s made it home safe that night.

Well at least they are admitting they didn’t do their job. This should be helpful for anyone suing the city and department I would think. It is a sensible position, everyone knows not enforcing the law has a preventative effect on further lawlessness. Just look at our immigration system.

Lame excuse.
Enforce the law or stop calling yourselves a law enforcement agency.
If you can’t handle the job call in the national guard.

Insight? Insight? Try "incite" Does the press even understand homonyms anymore? They're not even homonyms: In each word, the emphasis is on a different syllable.

Yes but if they point it out they'll be labeled homophobic

Warren v. District of Columbia[1] (444 A.2d. 1, D.C. Ct. of Ap. 1981) is an oft-quoted[2] District of Columbia Court of Appeals case that held that the police do not owe a specific duty to provide police services to citizens based on the public duty doctrine.

It’s academic. Notice it has been changed in the title and the body to “inflamed”.

,,,, we certainly wouldn’t to inflame the mob beyond them freely attacking law abiding people without any resistance . My goodness they might even hurt somebody then .
Peace loving Americans are one day going to rise up against this leftist anarchy and that my fellow peace loving Americans is just what 0bama wants . Riots and who will they blame again ?? Not the anarchist for sure . When good people have nothing to lose look out !

SJPD, an example of chickenshits that choose to not do their jobs. It is a case of no leadership and a plan to guarantee the supporters would be attacked. They were forced, after the event was over, to take a route to the parking garage that exposed them to the paid rioters.

A nice summation.

O brother.
That is weaker that the “blame the victim” excuse he has been running, as seen on his Facebook site (look at the last PPH of the “apology” — he STILL blames Trump!)

Either they’re trying to cover for the mayor who told them to stand down, or they’re just a bunch of gutless cowards.
Neither reflects very well on them.

This (the police statement) is an extension of the attitude of the MSM, who were nodding and winking at the demonstrators until the moment it appeared the demonstrators might actually be helping Trump. The basic idea is that Trump supporters don’t deserve to be protected, they deserve to be attacked. And I can see what’s going on even though I’m not a Trump supporter.

I was thinking something similar. Another Democrat Mayor who tolerates violence as long as it’s politically or socially appropriate.
