Quick (no web searching!), who was the 2016 NCAA Division I women's basketball champion? (Don't tell me that your office didn't do a women’s NCAA tournament bracket contest!) Okay, given that they've (UConn) won it four times in-a-row, that's too easy. Let's try again: Who was the last (2015) WNBA champion? (Hint: They've won it four of the last five seasons.) Don't feel bad, I didn’t know either, and twice in their recent five-year championship run they defeated the team from my home state in the championship series.
Even better: Can you name five WNBA teams? How about five WNBA players? Last year, the most watched women's sporting event of all-time occurred. What was it? Can you name the teams or five players (a hint!) who competed? Neither could I.

well ofc I don’t think there’s much NCAA action for women’s ski racing, but I don’t know.....

It is already happening in Wisconsin and Illinois. A local talk show guy was bemoaning it. Most of the callers who were my age or younger said “Well, they forced Title IX on us, so they get to reap the fruit”.
I couldn’t care less. There was a girl when I was in high school who demanded she be allowed to be on the wrestling team, then cried “Assault!” anytime she felt a hand on her body. She didn’t want to compete, she wanted the wins handed to her on a silver platter.

Obviously women Olympic caliber is not high caliber. It will get better when the trannies displace the born female.
But athletic and well worth watching.
Besides, other than racing,say, what sport does not require some judgment calls on the part of an official sometimes?
Particularly, football and basketball, and maybe I’m wrong about racing.

If womyn make up 50% of the audience then it stands to reason that the market should ensure that womyn generate 50% of the revenue and Title 9 is unneeded.
Te truth is WOMEN think women’s sports are boring, too and Title 9 is nothing more than a fairly successful attempt by liberals to hurt men.

I agree with TB in that I think the distinction is where the outcome is based completely om judgement (gymnastics, diving, etc.) as opposed to scores or a specific outcome.
Boxing and other combat contests are a little strange in that it is possible to just win (KO) but if that doesn’t happen then it falls to judging. But if it is POSSIBLE to get a clear winner absent a judged outcome I say it is a sport.
Judges of clear outcome contests are really referees, checking on rules compliance.
If my sons were still of college age, I’d lobby them to “identify” as women for the next 4 years. With the free education available from some of the finest universities around, one would be silly not to take advantage of the openness expressed by the insane left who run these same institutions. To graduate without having to expend loads of cash, with a degree, while competing in activities they willingly engaged in for no pay - what exactly is the down-side?
Actually, when you get down to it, the subject of what is or is not a sport, is very tangential to the original subject of biological males competing as women.
So I will just say that I like women’s gymnastics.
Still, I will agree that there is a lot of subjectivity in a lot of “sports”.

I know, it is just a fun tangent.
I remember a comedian saying a sport has to have offense and defense and then ruling bowling out as a sport.
I haven’t bowled since I got blown away at it by the girl I was dating at the time.
I truly stunk at bowling :)
