Judd Apatow (Trainwreck) defended his Freaks and Geeks collaborator Paul Feig on his Ghostbusters film, comparing the haters who disagree with the all-female cast to Donald Trump supporters.
Apatow told Uproxx in an interview, I would assume theres a very large crossover of people who are doubtful Ghostbusters will be great and people excited about the Donald Trump candidacy. I would assume they are the exact same people.

Ivo Shandor turned out to be RIGHT.
This Apatow guy probably has an office full of molds, spores and fungus.
Who is Jud Apatow? Is he supposed to be famous or something?
Not exactly a household name.
I think you are over-thinking this... they put out a trailer and it sux, that’s all. The only people praising it are the ones who desperately want a “4 chix” movie to be funny, no matter what. This movie is a good litmus test for political and cultural correctness, or freedom from same.
” generally agree with your point.
For example, Lara Croft is a joke. She shoots .50 cal Desert Eagles like they were squirt guns. In reality, taking one shot with a real Desert Eagle would break her wrist.
However, Rey was a well constructed character. She was vulnerable, sought help from the male characters, and grew into her non-physical powers (i.e., the Force).
Dont see anything wrong with that...”
A reasoned, intelligent post. What were you thinking??!?!?!
This is not a storyline!
Even if they make NO changes (except the cast, and filming the movie in color,) it's crazy. For example, when someone green-lighted the remake of "Psycho," they decided it was a "perfect" movie, so they didn't want to change any of the dialog, nor even the cinematography. They just changed the cast and filmed it in color. Hopefully the people in charge of the movie, especially the casting director - Vince Vaughn and Anne Heche, for goodness sake - will never work in movies again!

It’s the most hated movie trailer on googtube. It should be close to one million dislikes now.
I saw it. It was OK. But somehow it has now sucked in my GK's to the whole Star Wars thing, much to the delight, I'm sure, of Toys 'R' Us, which I've been visiting lately.
Yet another reason not to see it. Why help line this guy’s pockets?
Said another way, anyone who likes this second-rate knockoff is no doubt a Hillary fan.
I like the new characters. I’m not normally a fan of female action stars, but the girl playing Rey does a good job.
True Lies—back when Arabs could be terrorists.
What a great way to alienate half the country from your movie.
Women chick/flicks are boring, because without men, women are boring.
If you adjust for inflation . . . it’s still pretty good at number 11. Second-best Star Wars total.
Movie sequels and remakes often suck, apparently this one more than most. It’s especially true when the remake tries to inject a political message, as this one did.
You seriously can not have a bit of logic and be a liberal.
One of my favorite action/comedy movies of all time.
Jamie Lee Curtis: "You killed people?"
Arnold Schwarzenegger: "Jah, but dey ver all BAD!"
Arnold, numerous times, after causing collateral damage: "Sorry!"
