Tuesday at an event at the National Press Club, the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Congress Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) took aim at Muslims who support presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, likening them to “chickens for Colonel Sanders” of Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food restaurant fame.

In theory, Mr. Trump’s plan actually would help those Muslims in the US that are not radical Islamists. Right now since there appears to be absolutely no screening process for most immigrants, Muslim or otherwise, then ALL Muslims are considered suspect and intolerance for them has increased. A proper vetting process for any immigrants entering the country could give confidence to all of us normal folks that anyone who was here was not a threat. Logically, Rep Ellison should be fully supporting Mr. Trump.
Of course this was all theory. Don’t think logic applies to any of the anti-Trump gang. We are just going to have to do the right things for Americans again. Chips fall where they may.
Yes, I agree, with the slight caveat that the moderate Muslims you refer to, who would benefit by Trump’s policies would be more accurately described on nominal, non-religious Muslims. Any one who truly believes in the Koran is by definition, radical and potentially a threat to our way of life.
Oh yes, I was talking theoretical. I agree with your statement. Since I am writing this from Sharialand, I will leave it at that right now. Plan to be back in US in a couple of weeks or so, will give more insight then. Cheers!
