A new television commercial has been called jaw-droppingly racist for advertising laundry detergent seemingly strong enough to turn a black man Asian.
The ad from China-based laundry detergent company Qiaobi shows a black man flirting with a seemingly interested Asian woman. The women lures the man closer to a washing machine. She shoves a ball of washing detergent in his mouth before shoving his body into the washing machine. Moments later, the black man emerges from the water as an Asian man.

Actually, I think they would react like the skit I once saw on "The Comedy Strip," or "The Young Ones." I don't remember which.
Rick Mayall's character is talking with guy who's supposed to be Benito Mussolini. Mayall screams "FASCIST!" To which Mussolini lyrically answers "Yes" with a big, beatific smile.....
The only thing funnier would be to have the a##clown in the commercial
According to CNN and MSNBC you are.
They are going BS Crazy as it China and they have no way to retaliate.
Both are pretty funny.
I see what you did there...
In this country, commercials usually portray white males as clueless. Fortunately, there’s always a woman or a black friend/coworker in the commercial who comes to his rescue by informing him of the virtues of whatever product is being advertised. There are other variations where a black couple graciously shares their wisdom with a clueless white couple.
It’s the same ad....music especially.
hydroquinone will do the job. FDA has set a 2% maximum in fade cremes.
It rotted off Michael’s nose
Isnt it racist to call Chinese people racist?
******************************
C’mon.... It’s not like they were called Orientals!
I know it changed his skin color and race but did it also shorten his winky {or in the original chinese, his wangeee}?
Hahaha...a black guy with a sense of humor!
Ahh, Michael Jackson’s product.
It’s simply because they’re not PC mad there.
The ad was also based on another ad where an asian man was turned to an african man
Well, isn’t telling people to ‘Wash colors separately.” Racist?................

My first thought as well.
A very funny movie that is NOT RACIST at all. Apparently they’re not many people that remember this classic.
A number of years ago I happen to catch this movie again on some cable channel. I began watching with my liberal GF and she was appalled that they were “ALLOWED” to show this film. We continued watching and before long, she was laughing out loud.
I reminded her of the preconceptions she had at the beginning. Needless to say, that didn’t go over very well.
