Martinez is halfway through her second four-year term and is term limited. She supported Rubio in the primary. She has fought against illegal immigration, especially driver's licenses for illegals, but supporting Trump might a bridge too far for her. She has two more legislative sessions ahead of her and doesn't want to burn bridges with the mostly Democratic legislature. IMO she is simply attempting to straddle the fence until the end of her term. We shall see how that decision works out for her.

Yes, exactly. Trump is the brave one standing up to the bullies who rule over us. Not many would, because many have been threatened with death and worse. He feels he can protect his family sufficiently. Most of us cannot.

I called the SoS election office as I couldn’t find anything on the website and not sure how it works since they are all mail-in. The site says results start coming in at 8 our time (guy on phone confirmed). I asked him if they were doing counts of the ballots received all day - he wasn’t really clear but I think he said yes. Each county will be showing results differently. King County (Seattle Metro area) is by far the largest and will probably be last to report, as usual. When we had color in the circle and feed into the machine voting, they were always last and seem to somehow “find” votes if and as needed, such as with the Governor’s race with Dino Rossi (good guy-R) and Gregoire (aka Fraudoire). Guess the found votes and King County/Seattle isn’t much different than what’s happening in other large, Dim-controlled cities.
I’ve read that briefly. Even though I had previously heard a few good things about her (not counting the party issue in Dec), I listened to her speech at CPAC and wasn’t impressed, IMHO she seemed to ramble somewhat - not good for a speech of that importance and a national audience.
