Martinez is halfway through her second four-year term and is term limited. She supported Rubio in the primary. She has fought against illegal immigration, especially driver's licenses for illegals, but supporting Trump might a bridge too far for her. She has two more legislative sessions ahead of her and doesn't want to burn bridges with the mostly Democratic legislature. IMO she is simply attempting to straddle the fence until the end of her term. We shall see how that decision works out for her.
