Mitt Romney may be the #NeverTrump movements last chance for a third party bid.
Anti-Trump conservatives have so far been unsuccessful in recruiting a candidate to mount a third party run against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Gen. James Mattis said no thanks. Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse said he is too busy raising his children to run for president. Former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn said he is not interested.

So ensuring a Hillary Clinton Presidency would be Mitt Romney’s greatest legacy?

I will never vote for Mittens.
If Trump doesn’t win, I hope Hillary sends his magic underwear packing once and for all.

Bishop Romney is a COWARD — and will never enter
since he FEARS Mr. Trump, but like the jealous coward
he is, the RAT will continue
to send his depraved toadies like globalist Cruz,
like his toadie Gov. Rattlesnake Baker,
and his MSM-surrogates like FOX “news” to push
his malicious schemes against America.

in the age of a Trumpian Republican Party, Romney looks a lot like Attila the Hun. He may not be severely conservative, but unlike Donald Trump, he is at least something of a conservativeOn what planet is Romney more of a conservative than Trump?

We can hope for Bernie to take his minions to a third party and suck off some of Hillary’s vote count. If the Dems continue to piss him off, he may just do it.

The thing that’s sort of brilliant about Trump and pitiful about these #NeverTrump-ers, is that they can’t answer the basic question of which flank of him they are going to attack. It would be one thing if we were talking Cruz, and they’re saying that he’s too conservative, they want to nominate Romney to get the moderate vote. But all of the noise on Trump is generally in the opposite direction, they’re saying he’s not a “real conservative” . . . and so therefore they’re going to vote for Romney? It doesn’t pass the most basic of straight-face tests!

These folks' fear of Trump is supposedly shrouded in a love of conservatism, with the principle being extinguished on Trump's election. Trump is a man with a list of popular positions. Nothing in him makes full-spectrum conservatism go away. Phyllis Schlafley, the grand dame of conservatism, and a principled one, knows that.
Four years ago, I knew that if elected Romney, that we would have nothing but phonies like Romney forever. The attitude of the Romney acolytes shows my fear was well-founded.

Romney’s legacy is already in the toilet. But a third party run would put in into territory usually reserved for traitors and spies, pedophiles and killers. His name would never again be spoken without the mandatory prefix: “that miserable _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _, Mitt Romney. A “Mitt” will be come a euphemism for a despicable act as perverted as anything that one might do.

And the ‘big’ tent Republicans seem to always find the Alinskites to tear US down. I have yet to discern if it is a character flaw or diabolical narcissism.

Won’t happen.
Romney is smart enough to know he would get trounced.
He would rather his greatest legacy be a loss as the Republican nominee, than a loss as a third party candidate.

A third party is desperately needed, but it should wait until after this next election, regardless of who wins, but especially if Hillary wins. Time is needed to defeat the LSM and he lies that will be told about what a real third party will be like and what it stand for.
