After Ted Cruz dropped out of the presidential race, his campaign staffers boxed up their mementos and souvenirs as they prepared to shutter the Houston headquarters, and the Texan announced that he would seek reelection to the U.S. Senate.
Yet Cruzs team didn't abandon the race for the White House entirely. It still filed a slate of potential presidential delegates for Californias June 7 primary, and continues to monitor delegate selection in states that already voted in the GOP nominating process.
The end result is that Cruz will have more than 550 loyalists attending the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July a ground force that helps him establish himself as the national leader of the conservative movement, protect the party's conservative platform from what the senator has called Trump's "New York values," and lay the foundation for a potential 2020 presidential bid.

I don’t know if this means anything but people I know who are politically connected in Phoenix and were HUGE Cruz supporters have been unusually quiet in the last few weeks. Makes me suspicious.
It’s more than Ego.
He (they) feel entitled to run the show.
They aim to stack the rules committee with Cruz delegates and change the rules:
1) totally change the primary process for 2020- for Cruz’s favor
2) 2016 allow for any candidate with 1+ delegate to be nominated
3) 2016 DQ individual delegates and unseat state delegations on rules issues
4) 2016 push for ‘rogue’ delegates- unbound - super delegates
Regardless of how he stacks the rules committee, he will be unable to stop the Trump Train. Trump’s delegate count will be 2 1/2 times greater. And he’ll probably round out with 5 million more votes. The more, the merrier. The Trump Train needs to keep rolling, full speed ahead.
Find out, who is on the Convention Rules Committee. Be vigilante.
Trump won Arizona with 46% of the vote, took all 58 delegates. Closed Primary.
This is the same state that kicked Jan Brewer off as a delegate, hmmm.
They are likely up to no good.
20/20. Is t that a TV show?
>>Somebody tell the Cubanadian he is not eligible.
He knows he is not eligible.
By 2020, he’s hoping to run for President of the North American Union.
His college roommate, when interviewed, told us Cruz would NEVER ever give up until he dies.
Cruz could give Satan lessons.
You do us all an invaluable service, BGS, in keeping us informed and up to date with respect to The Great Pretender’s continuing machinations. Thank you.
The evil runs deep with this one. As I said in an earlier post, Cruz could give Lucifer lessons.
Fortunately for American Patriots, God has blessed us with the PERFECT candidate to take on the globalist elites, in Donald John Trump.
May no weapon formed against him prosper!
He isn’t edible to run for POTUS, he wasn’t born here on American Soil...he first has to prove, since he removed his Canadian citizenship he even has a country to belong to... Remember he didn’t tell the people of Texas that he was a Canadian citizen...and tried to tell some sap story, which his college roommates come out and said he knew about it because he bragged to them about it...
With all due respect, that is total bull. Whether born of abject ignorance or willful misinformation is the question...

With all due respect, Harley Lady is exactly right. Cruz claims to be an originalist (one who supports the Constitution as it was written) yet defies the Constitution outright. He is NOT eligible because he is not a Natural Born Citizen of the United States. There was never any question about the meaning of Natural born citizen until the last few years. Thanks to the increasing rejection of the Constitution and its protections of American Citizens by Communists and Liberals, we will lose it altogether if true Americans don’t stand up and fight. YOU are part of the problem. HarleyLady is correct and you are full of hot air! Cruz is NOT eligible!
Trump campaign accuses Arizona GOP of stealing delegate election (CNN).

Very strange software for delegate selection.
Trump wins overwhelming:
Trump, Donald John, Sr.——286,743——45.95%-—58-—100.00% delegates.
Cruz, Rafael Edward “Ted”-—172,294 -——0 delegates
Yet Trump gets less than a dozen delegates and Jan Brewer is excluded. Ted has 46 AZ delegates?
Hate the cheat!
And you and HarleyLady are 100% mistaken.
Alas, 'tis an argument that shan't be resolved since you are convinced of your incorrect position.
>>He got the oswald treatment.
I hope the investigative sleuths will be relentless in their search for truth, and not let this fade into the background, as the Bush Crime Family desires. People are still being “JFK”’d after all these decades.
RIP Blogger Gary Welsh
Thank you very much.
I think that this delegate rules committee behind the scenes needs to be exposed for whom they support.
If anyone posts on The Conservative Treehouse- Sundance, this might be the place for this type of research to be done.
So far, I have revealed a stacked rules committee for Cruz. But it is only for 8 of the 50 states.
Sorry, Twerp. I was studying the Constitution most probably before you were born. Cruz would not have been eligible then and he is not eligible now. There has never been an Article 5 Convention to change the meaning of Article II, Section 1, clause 5. There is an enormous difference between Citizen of the united States and NATURAL BORN CITIZEN of the United States.
The Framers of the Constitution INTENDED that there be a difference and that is why they CHANGED the proposed wording of CITIZEN to NATURAL BORN CITIZEN on the advice of John Jay, Future First Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. EVERYONE on the Committee KNEW what it meant and its source was the same as Article I, Section 8, Clause 10 which cites the Law of Nations.
My position is absolutely correct as is Harley Lady’s. YOU cannot defend your position with FACTS! We can. CASE CLOSED!

Please forward this to the DJT campaign. They are probably already aware, but their plates are pretty full now, and on the chance that they may not be aware, it can only be of help to them.
Ted Cruz still delusional. He will be lucky to be allowed in the convention much less have a say so.
Ted should have gotten a Hawaiian BC, worked for ‘44.
His mommy was a citizen, why did any one care where he was born?
He even chose to write about his BC & the Kaopalani birthing hospital!
Indonesia, Kenya, Egypt, Canada,...
Who cares where he came from, his mom was a citizen, right?
Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Cuba, Somalia,...
You’re right! Who the hell cares!
I don’t see me voting for him in 2018 unless he does some spectacular stuff soon.
They aim to stack the rules committee with Cruz delegates and change the rules:
*****************
Question if either of you or anyone else knows. Isn’t there a rules committee meeting
the week before the convention to establish the rules for the Convention? Those rules have
to be adopted once the convention meets.
Are you all talking about those rules or rules regarding candidates for President?
Thanks.
Yes, both. The rules are presented and need to be adopted. The rules for the convention dictate how a presidential candidate is nominated and who is eligible to be nominated. The 2012 rules don’t necessarily apply.
That’s why Trump needs loyal delegates. Many of the current delegates are obligated to vote for him through one ballot or beyond to through 3. But, they have no obligation to vote favorably on any of the rules.
So if Cruz has 566 of his own loyal delegates and hundreds of other Cruz delegates appointed in states where Trump has won, it could be a problem.
The convention rules committee is 112 and is different from the RNC rules standing, although some may overlap.
While Trump will win the state of Washington, the delegates are nearly all for Cruz 40/41, just like Arizona 46/58 (Trump won with over 110,000 votes) and other states where Trump has won the people and Ted poaches the delegates.
“Donald Trump may be the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, but Washington states GOP convention awarded 40 out of 41 elected delegate slots to Ted Cruz.” -Seattle Times May 21, 2016
Paul Manafort has to be 100% aware of all of this.
Here’s to hoping those 550 cult members come to their senses before the convention.
When Trump is the official nominee, Lyin’ Ted’s “rules” will immediately become irrelevant.
