Donald Trump has countered allegations of sexism by touting his support for female employees, saying he loves hiring women because they work harder and because it seemed to him that there was something that they want to really prove. Numerous studies and women leaders' own experiences show that Trump may be right but if women do work harder, it may well be to combat sexism from men.
On the same day the New York Times published its examination of Trumps fraught relationship with women, explaining how the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has engaged in what it called unwelcome advances, a shrewd reliance on ambition, and unsettling workplace conduct over decades, 17 women in the French government signed a letter saying the sexist behavior of their male colleagues must change. They complained of receiving lewd text messages, men touching their underwear and grabbing their breasts, and a politician hitting a female aide in the face, the Associated Press reported.
Even if women arent being directly harassed like the female politicians in France claim to have been, a roundup of research from the Harvard Business Review showed they are often subject to harsher judgment, higher standards and subconscious biases from both male and female colleagues. All of these factors can make the workplace a more difficult environment for women, who often spend more time working and being productive than their male coworkers to prove their worth.

I hope you are right.
I’m making the this judgment not based on women I know (there is about an even split there) but on what I read and have read for decades. And it is not just women. There are certain other groups who wish to be portrayed and thought of as victims. They can’t let that go.
That’s a part of it too. And not just for women.
Been that way since the dawn of time.
BTW, the same can be said of a good man, even more so
Yes. Also it has been my experience that professional women are really, really interested in their job/profession. It is more than simply a job, it is their avocation as well.
Doesn’t really match my experience. Some women do work hard, harder than the men perhaps, but once they get any kind of authority, they tend to make very poor decisions that fritter the company’s money away, they can’t take advice or handle criticism, and they often cause interpersonal drama to get in the way of good decision making.
I haven’t had a female manager yet who didn’t cause company morale to plummet drastically due to these kinds of things.
Damn! Look.at that nose!
I agree! I’m not a man-hater. On the contrary, I love a real alpha male!
I can’t say about that as I haven’t been in the fish tank with a lot of managers of either sex. I was talking more about professional doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, etc.
OTOH hire a black and most of the time one will be dealing with the “you owe me” mentality for the time of their employment. I even had one fake an injury ON CAMERA AND RECORDED and filed a Workman’s Comp against us. Even though it was a blatant falsehood the insurance company had us settle out of court for $12K.
Trump hires women because they’re either good at what they do or are trainable. The same way MOST companies hire.
He’s right, and they’re more reliable, too, in the short run.
chuckle. nobody lies on accident. not even cruz.
Its not enough that Donald Trump gives exceptionally talented, highly motivated and extremely hard working women with demonstrated strong leadership skills to high level positions and exceptional job opportunities in his world class organization based on merit - the fact their talent and work ethics make them the best person for the job.
This writer demeans these exceptional women and bemoans the fact that Trump rejects their Politically Correct vision of viewing women as affirmative action hires that need to be carried by the rest of the organization
Feminists hate Trump because he walks the walk but does not talk the talk when it comes to fair treatment of women in the workplace
“Women who work for Donald Trump work harder than women who work elsewhere?”
That must be it, because otherwise the statement is bull plop! I have seen it time and again that when someone is in a protected victim class they are entitled and their attitude shows it.
If this broad brush stroke statement by trump were true, then the company that I work for must be pulling from the dregs of the female portion of society.
I’m sure that is true.
But it not a the approved media narrative.
Ditto!
It was a radically different story by the end of his life. My mom almost completely ran the business and my dad never hesitated to say that women were better workers, more trust worthy and more reliable then men, which if you knew my dad was a complete turn around to what he thought when he was younger man.
I had more than one person at his funeral say to me, "your dad was a tough boss, but he was fair and I learned a lot." I especially remember a lady saying to me,"your dad took a chance with me and gave me my first job, I will never forget it."
These are the things that matter. Trump's former employees say many of the same things. Just think of what he can do for the country. Trump has the makings of being a tremendous President.
My dad hires only women attorneys to represent him when needed. He also says they work harder
