A Cairo-bound EgyptAir flight that went down in the Mediterranean Sea with 66 aboard early Thursday hours after departing from Paris zig-zagged sharply before plunging, according to aviation officials, who said terrorism was a likely cause of the crash.

Your hatred of Trump is obvious.
He’s going to be the next POTUS. Get over it, Francis.
I haven’t the slightest idea what you are bloviating about so have a nice day.
3 air Marshalls on board
We’re they expecting trouble ?
Looks like Trump called it right.
“Hugh Hewitt is disposable feminine cleansing product one might use on a summers eve.”
Are you saying his middle name is Massengil?
This would be consistent with the report by an expert of a bomb just before tail causing pilots to be unable to control. She explained how loss of tail causes the 90% + 360 descend spin
Mr. GG2 who is a pilot and also used to build planes at Boeing said that the described gyration of the plane is indicative of a wing shearing off. He thinks likely due to bomb also.
I was following this on the thread last night until 1 am my time. I already said it had to be terrorism. Clearly something happened to the plane, suddenly, at altitude, and there was no distress call. Also, Greeks at the nearest island, and fishing boats, were all reporting seeing a fireball.
If Trump read the same reports, of COURSE he knew it was terror.
ISIS just began to take on Egypt, and we know how they feel about France.
The plane had been on 5 runs that day, including to Tunisia.
Of course it was terror, and the media is over careful when it is obvious and still is saying things like “if in good health the passengers can survive up to 5 hours in the water.” Yeah, if the plane blowing up at 37,000 feet didn’t have any effect...
RIP to all aboard.
Well, that is a plane. Not confirmed if it is this particular crash?
What a phony smile he has. Only his mouth muscles are used.
Many flights, especially international flights have Air Marshall’s on board. They don’t advertise who they are so they look like regular passengers in most cases. Having them on board is probably not a smoking gun in this instance. Fairly standard MO.
Is it possible the pilot was attempting evasive maneuvers because of an incoming missile?
Could be a wing; that would be a bomb in the fuel there. But that is harder to get to and the fuel is much more protected than people think. It would also require a mechanic with a lot of know-how to get something in there. And greater chance of detection, since inspectors come along after.
The tail is more likely, IMHO, in that it’s weaker and that is where the storage area for thing loaded onto the plane by airport staff (e.g., food/drinks) are.
Any control surface (tail or wing) loss would give you roughly the same effect.
Of course BUT three of them is not common practice
That’s right. Not sure it’s this crash.
Mr. GG2’s daughter, SIL and 3 grandkids live in France. They don’t understand why we won’t fly over to visit. LOL!
Obama says the US will assist in the investigation, so I think we’ll quickly find the truth... that it was caused by climate change.
Can we get one thread for this serious breaking news, so if we have new info, we have one place to add it to?
Two life jackets have been found.
And thr British passenger’s name is Richard Osman.
Nothing as uncommon as common sense
You and DT must have been allotted some liberals share
We all have. There are a lot of libs out there. :)
